Markham's Dino Drive
This is not a fully immersive experience. It's a bunch of model dinosaurs (some embarrassingly small) lined up along the road, spaced pretty far apart. A handful move, even fewer are life-size (if any), and some have roaring sound effects. The staff holding dinosaur puppets was cringey. But, it is what you make of it - if the parents get into it, shriek and scream that the dinosaurs are attacking us, or the volcanic lava is going to melt the car, or you have a roaring contest... then it can be fun. I definitely wouldn't pay the full price for this (we bought a Groupon), or take kids younger than 3 or 4. It's just not interesting enough for them. Our 10, 8, 6, and 4 year olds enjoyed it.The worst part was likely the massive jurassic themed bouncy castle they have inflated for some torturous reason, since kids aren't even allowed on it. Like, why? Hey kids

I don't know what's more sad, the fact that I paid for this or the workers who wait around holding dinosaur puppets. My husband said a zero would've been more appropriate and my 2.5 year old just wasn't into it either, saying bye bye" after 15 minutes."

Take a trip back in time where technology isn't a thing and the world is nothing more than a deserted expanse of chaos. This experience begins in the parking lot so they really stayed on theme from the very start. Much like prehistoric times, rules and order do not exist. You'll arrive at the front gates in the same state of confusion, stress, and sweat that you would be in if you were a legitimate time traveller. With the tone and your mental state perfectly set, your Dino drive adventure begins. I loved how they kept it full of surprises - you never know what is around the next corner. Will it be a pretty decent robot? A gas station inflatable dinosaur? An alligator? A dragon that was borrowed from a previous haunted house? It could be anything. The tunnel with the feather boas hanging down was a wonderful added touch, and a nod to the way dinosaurs used to love feather boas. 100% would recommend if you want to spend a day in the car and argue with your family, and maybe - if you're lucky - witness a fistfight between parents in the parking lot after someone cuts someone else off. Because you're in Dino land now and there are no rules.

Did my kids enjoy it? Yes! Are they asking to go back? Yes! Will I take them back? No. I was okay to pay $45 for the experience once. We haven't been out for a while. We made it into an adventure with snacks, build up the week/night before and carefully selecting our dinosaur attire to wear. I would definitely gage your child's level of passion for dinosaurs before expecting that this will create excitement that isn't already within them.

I've been to a few drive thru events and wow was I underwhelmed by the dino drive thru. It was sparce and empty to say the least. My 2 year old was not impressed. There were very few moving dino's. We were able to cover all exhibits in under 20min. The dinosaurs themselves were mediocre. The puppet dino's were a joke. I can't believe we paid the price we did for a car of 3 persons. The only positive I have is the dino radio station you could tune into. It played some catchy dino music which made the drive more tolerable. Sorry to say but I would not recommend this drive through.

I bought tickets for this before reading reviews, but thank goodness I read them before actually going. You need to manage your expectations, and even then it will only be as good as you make it. We pumped it up with my 3yo daughter weeks in advance and made an outing of it, so she loved it. That in itself made it worth it, considering that as a typical pandemic family we're just starving for an outing.Having said that, it was quite terrible. It was ALMOST so bad that it was good, given the amount that we laughed, but still... We got out of it what we put into it, nothing more. It was NOT the high-quality museum-style or even theme-park experience you would expect from the ads. It was a bunch of model dinosaurs spaced about 30m apart, some with signs displaying the name, others leaving you wondering what you just saw. Some dinosaurs moved semi-realistically, some had roaring noise, but some were the blow-up variety you would see at a used car lot. 4 of them were actually dragons from a haunted house. This thing was quite obviously slapped together using random props purchased from God-knows-where, with little-to-no effort given to hide the fact that you're on a fairground/farm in Markham. The staff holding hand-puppet dinosaurs left me feeling uncomfortable. The sound track on the radio was somewhat enjoyable but there was only enough material for about 15min of driving so most songs played twice. The tunnel" (I.e. Canvas car shelter) at the halfway point with boas and random rags hanging from the roof that dragged across the car was the high point for me. It was ALSO the reason for the car wash that we went to immediately after leaving."

Went in Jan 2022 for Dino Holiday experience. The idea is good: moving dinosaurs, lots of rides, pop corn, etc.The execution is terrible! Lots of industrial noise, no music, the wires under dinosaur are covered with some white bed sheets, posters in walls are wrinkled. Everything looks sloppy and cheap. All rides are min 2 tickets ($3.5). We had a 2 yo and he needed an adult with him on the rides, so we had to pay for an adult and also for a 9 month old with us, all same price. All rides are very short too. The total was $59 for a family of 4 (groupon), which felt like too much for this experience. We also were there on the last day and staff was packing all decorations right in front of attendees, there were piles of trees on the floor. In terms of age, lots of babies and 2-5yo, but generally I wouldn't recommend, not worth it.

My two and a half year old whom LOVES dinosaurs was moderately entertained for 5 minutes. Then she just started telling the dinosaurs to wake up. They advertise these are not statues they move and make sounds but only about 5 out of like 100 Dino's actually moved and made sounds and the sounds are basically the raptor sound from the first Jurassic Park movie when the first Raptor enters the kitchen and calls for the others. (The Dino's weren't raptors lol) and some growled. They were statues for the most part. Putting Dinos on both sides of a road would leave a kid in a car not seeing everything. I wouldn't recommend this. We didn't have any excepctations but comon we went at 10am and half way through we saw staff taking things down. For the price I wouldn't recommend it. My heart goes out to those poor people standing in the rain on the side of the muddy road with their hand up a dino puppet. You people are the real heroes!

Our kids had A LOT of fun and they asked to go back another day. Seeing a lot of negative reviews here, but you need to manage your expectations - it's not meant to be entertainment for adults. Our son is super into dinosaurs right now, so he really enjoyed seeing the dinosaur models in real life. We went on a weekend so there was a bit of a wait to get in, but we didn't feel rushed and there was time to briefly stop at each dinosaur exhibit to take a look before driving towards the next one.

We were excited to go and found it is mehhh. Sound effect through outdoor speakers didn’t work. Not many people want to open windows during this chilly weather to hear the random roar. Dinosaurs were small! Only last a few at the end maybe up to scale. Radio stations was playing jungle music which didn’t add much value. Wish it was talking about some dinosaur facts with dramatic music. Over priced for what you get. Not recommended for the price. It will get by with $30 or less maybe.
