Wonderful experience. Great helpful staff. Very caring and compassionate for our vulnerable cats and dogs ,who are homeless and in need of care, shelter and food. They provide a great service and are to commended for the good work they do.

Amazing people doing great work. They are terribly underfunded, so consider adopting your next pet instead of going to a breeder, and please consider donating money or items on their wishlist (comprising day to day supplies they badly need). These days it's hard for alot of people to worry beyond their own roof and table for sure, but for those of us not so worried even a little helps. Just like humans, sometimes pets just need a second chance and someone to care about them. They gave us alot of their time but we ended up adopting from the Colchester office, which suffers all the same challenges.

I've stopped in lots over the years to just make a donation and spend time with the cats, but today we adopted one! Salem came home with us and the process couldn't have been easier. Thanks for everything, PC SPCA!

We drove from Dartmouth to pictou and adopted our fur ever baby Murray the staff was soooo super helpful and friendly they worked with us so we could meet Murray and they were helpful with the paper work and to make sure that we understood how it may take time for him to adjust to his new home and what foods he was on and how if we needed to change his foods how to go about doing it. I highly recommend pictou SPCA to anyone looking to adopt a new furever animal.

It was a long drive, but well worth it. We adopted two new members of the family today, Milo and Mickey.Awesome! :-)

Oliver passed away about a month ago and I swore I would never go through that again. I had health issues and he would follow me everywhere and sleep beside me to keep me company. It got to a point that something was missing from the house and needed to be filled.We went to the SPCA to look and fell in love with Silk and Satin, two black 5 month old sister kittens. Due to weather and other conditions their trips to the city were put off.Finally the day came and they were taken down and came back that night. We were sitting at the door the next morning.We were given all the paperwork and records tor them. Everything was explained to us very well and now we have them home. It is very different having two very active and loving kittens. There is never a dull moment with these two, they are constantly on the go or cuddling with us.Thank you for all your help and guidance.
