Manitoulin Transport

UPDATEWe were contacted by the Regional Sales Manage, who was able to provide a resolution to our previous issue, as well give clarification on their shipping practices to avoid future issues like below. We were pleased to speak with her and appreciate her help.-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------We are extremely displeased with the way Manitoulin handles and justifies their freight charges. We shipped a 8x6x4 box weighing less than 1lb which costing $775 in freight. This has been an ongoing issue with every transaction we have had with Manitoulin. Rates are extremely high, unwilling to negotiate or resolve rate issues.We do not recommend using Manitoulin.

I had heard good things.Everyone I spoke to was very polite.I was told if you call for a rate quote it would be cheaper than just showing up with a shipment or calling for pick up. This is not true. I gave them every detail on the pick up and delivery addresses and the quote included things like residential pick up and delivery. Actual cost on one shipment was almost double. When I questioned the overage I was told it would be reduced, and two people told me the charge would be reversed and a new charge applied. This was completely untrue.Second shipment was considerably higher than quoted. They lost two of my pieces on the first shipment and only found them when I repeatedly contacted them to track them down. As a result we lost a full day's use of the equipment.I will never use them again unfortunately. Again everyone I spoke to was super polite, but completely unhelpful.Once they have your money, they are not letting go of it. Too bad.

We use Manitoulin daily. The review would be They are great." But they are willing to meet cutomers on weekends when they are closed because we just had to have something. 5 enthusiastic stars."

Great place to work.

My company has shipped and received from Manitoulin and we will continue to as they have been amazing, even when we had a dispute they where willing to fix the issue.
