Prompt, professional and spent extra time to explain the mystery that is the heat pump.Definitely going to get Luke back next year when I replace the unit.He’s very manly but in a way that didn’t intimidate but instead instilled confidence. After meeting him I was wishing he was older so he could marry my sister and we could spend time at Christmas drinking coffee in our new ties while the kids open the rest of their presents.

Last spring we went through an EnerGuide Evaluation of our house prior to home renovations and wanted to qualify for all BC Hydro Rebates. We went with a Mitsubishi ductless heat pump from Westisle Heating and Cooling Ltd for our new heating system. As we did not want wall units we went with 3 ceiling cassettes.The install was professional and Joe and his crew did an excellent job taking care with our house and always cleaning up after themselves. The system is great and our heating costs have dropped by 33% or more. We did have a bit of a technical issue with the cassettes operation but technician Ryan was persistent in resolving the problem, as was Mitsubishi Ltd. The units are quiet and the outdoor heat pump is very quiet.We have no reservations recommending Westisle Heating and Cooling Ltd.

My experience with Westisle Heating and Cooling was very good. They arrived as scheduled and were quick and accurate in their diagnosis of the problem I was having with my furnace. I needed to get an electrician to fix things and I was able to tell him what was wrong. He had it fixed within the day. I was very happy with the service I got from Westisle.

Excellent workers. Had my heat pump fail completely at the start of the heating season (don't wait to call service people if you suspect issues!) and they managed to fit me in just before the Christmas break, despite it apparently being a busy year for heat pump installers. Minimal disruption in the house throughout the installation process, and were very helpful about explaining the proper use and maintenance of my new system.

We just had a new heat pump installed by West Isle and we've been very happy with the entire process. They were great at keeping us informed throughout the process and the technicians were very helpful during the installation. They spent a lot of time providing tips and instructions which I really appreciated. I would definitely recommend their services in the future.

Our heat pump wasn't turning on so we called West Isle. They were able to come in earlier than scheduled quickly found the problem. Very quick and responsive to questions along the way. Definitely plan on getting them to take on our regular maintenance.

Last week our thermostat's screen was blank and no heat in the house. I called the company that installed the HVAC, but they told me they would have to book me for a week later and MAY be able to escalate me the next day (if not, it would be the weekend and we could have been without heat until Monday). Called Westisle and fortunately they were able to send someone within an hour. Jesse was very knowledgeable and spent the time needed to isolate the short that had caused the fuse to blow. Really appreciated the fast response and excellent service!

We recently had a heat pump installed and I have only great things to say about my experience with Westisle.I had two quotes. One from Westisle, and one from Bennett. Both estimates were quite professional, and the prices were comparable for what we needed. The quote from Bennett was for a single unit, one option. Westisle provided 4 estimates with different brand options, and supporting documents for each heat pump. They put additional effort into their multiple quotes and responded to significant correspondence from me via email with all kinds of questions. I can be a pain in the butt with making a final decision on large purchases and Grant put up with me, and got me all the answers I needed to move forward.The installers were also very friendly, professional and courteous. When they were finished they left everything as they found it. The weather was nasty and they tracked a lot of dirt and mud into the house (unavoidable), Most of it as contained to dropsheets they put down, and the rest was all cleaned up before they left.Before they began I walked around with them and we discussed where the refrigerant lines would have to be run. It appeared that an ugly bulkhead would be unavoidable. I accepted this, told them it was not a problem. I was pleasantly surprised to learn that they managed (with great difficulty) to completely hide the lines! No ugly bulkhead! This was a huge bonus. They accomplished what we thought was the impossible.It has only been about 24 hours since they wrapped up the install, so I have no long-term observations, but so far the heat-pump and everything is working flawlessly.I do have a recommendation to those reading this review. When I chose the unit that was ultimately installed I went with the Amana. In hindsight I might have gone with a quieter unit. The Heat Pump itself, while a bit loud, can not really be heard in the house, but the noise from the air handler is louder than our old 40 year old furnace that was removed - you can certainly hear more noise coming from the registers. Grant did mention that another unit was quieter, but I decided not to go that route to save a few dollars. So this is nothing that Westisle did wrong as the choice was mine. The noise is not terrible, but a quieter unit for the extra $ might have been worth while.At the end of the day, I would not hesitate to recommend Westisle!
