Not helpful/ good customer service. I received a compound prescription from a doctor and the pharmacy just was not helpful at all. They stated they don’t deal with any compound prescriptions and did not help find alternative solutions or prescriptions. Bad customer service. I called a compound pharmacy that stated the original pharmacy should have been more helpful find alternatives or assist… I get it’s not in the purview but it’s always good customer service to take extra steps and not do ‘bare minimum’- hence why they get 1 star. Also the pharmacy is always so slow. I seem to wait when there is 0 line and 3 workers, never understood how they can be so slow in comparison to far busier pharmacies.

The pharmacist there are very rude. I would not recommend foreigners to go there for any type of vaccinations. Go to one of the others in the area. They will service with you without such rudeness and unprofessionalism.

Lol I accidentally called the wrong shoppers pharmacy after a text I received had their number. The pharmacist or assistant was rude and extremely agitated that I called the wrong number. As a customer, I had to be the mature one and asked her to relax and calm down lmao.. unusual. She then got upset and hung up on me. Very unusual experience.

You can really feel the gouge in every purchase! The best prices for their owners and shareholders, every time I’m downtown and need a pharmacy item I’m reminded to search out an independent pharmacy instead(those still left) and try and buy my items and fill my prescriptions there. The pharmacy at my local (shout out High Park Pharmacy! Love you folks) will turn around a rx in 2 hours. I was quoted 48 hours at SDM! If you can, give your hard-earned to someone else.

The negative reviews about having to wait long periods of time when no one else is online are correct. One pharmacist is helpful, the other isn’t helpful at all and always comes across like you’re bothering him for having questions about your medication. Most of the techs/assistants aren’t friendly and are downright rude. It’s also happened a few times that they told me my prescription would be ready at a certain time, only for me to get there and find out that it was never even processed, and being told to come back hours later or another day... This location is convenient but I will be going elsewhere.

Noralyn at Pharmacy was rude the moment I approached the Prescription Pick Up counter today at 1:15pm. I’m shocked with her behaviour, considering I did nothing to warrant the tone she gave me. She clearly seems to be having some sort of bad day, but it’s no excuse to treat a new customer that way. She also didn’t explain how the medication has to be used, which is something every other pharmacist has always done. I have never had this experience at any other Shoppers. I’d appreciate someone from the team to contact me or handle this complaint on your end.

I went to this location as it is close to home. However, I came in with questions for the pharmacist to answer. I was the only one in line, and I had to wait. Why is the service at the pharmacy so slow. It always seems to be the case. Today, I had some questions for the pharmacist in regards to the redness that I have on the sides of my nose, and what I can do to treat it. The pharmacist didn't help me much at all. All he recommended for me was to take a nasal gel for my nose as it is always dry. That was it. No help whatsoever.

Very convenient location, but one of the worst shoppers I’ve been to. The beauty department staff is very pushy about making you check out at their counter when you have any cosmetic items because they think you’re going to steal it. The general staff is rude and becomes annoyed when people ask questions. The entire store’s tendency to accuse you of stealing is astonishing. I accidentally scanned a banana twice at their self checkout counter, and asked an employee for help. He showed that I already removed the item. When I apologized for the confusion he walked away saying I clearly knew the item was removed, implying I was trying to scam them (out of a $2 banana ??). This was one the locations I frequent almost everyday but after this experience I feel very uncomfortable browsing in the store.

Owner or store manager seems to have instructed the cashiers to only accept CASH in 2023 as a way to penalize people who would prefer customer service vs the self-checkout. Such an inconvenience especially when you want to ensure a security tag is removed or have a question. SDM head office must be pushing self-checkout on these people and measuring them in it at long-term customer expense. You’d think they’d be happy people are actually going to the store in the world of Amazon and yet they still seem to do all they can to push us away.

By far the slowest pharmacy I've ever gone to. Staff is great but that does not change that I've generally waited between 4 and 6 hours for the prescription to be filled, only to then show up at the suggested time and be asked to wait an additional hour. I have also called a few times to specify which pill size to swap in order for my insurance to cover them, only to arrive and be given the wrong size and get charged.I will say, the Rexall at College/Spadina and the Shoppers near CAMH are exceptionally fast and rarely miss a beat. I strongly recommend either of them.
