I have known Lori for many years, in many capacities. I deeply respect her work, her clinical perspective and her clear, honest communication style. Lori is reliable and compassionate. She is highly skilled in supporting people through a variety of issues and provides a safe space to work though difficult feelings. I highly recommend Lori Yusishen as a therapist.

I have seen Laurie in person a couple of times and over zoom during covid twice. My first visit was a typical getting to know you period. I was going through a very bad separation and needed emotional support. It wasn’t terrible and I went back. The second time she was present and seemed to be listening but the feedback I received was fairly generic. My first zoom call with Laurie about a year later seemed rushed and she seemed distracted. I felt like I was bothering her. Her feedback was minimal and uninspiring. She gave me a link to some Self help podcasts and I think she felt her job was done. I decided to give it one last go over zoom. This was probably the worst session. When I spoke to her about some trust issues I was having she told me I shouldn’t trust anyone (which I get to some degree) but there was no real advice as how to navigate the issues etc. i literally felt like I was talking to a wall. I won’t go back. This was very disappointing.

I have known Lori for 23 years and have had the privilege of seeing her work in several different contexts. A talented therapist, she has an abundance of sophisticated theoretical knowledge/expertise combined with the ability to create deep connections with her clients. I have and will continue to refer clients to her with full confidence, knowing they will be welcomed into a space of compassion, warmth and respect while benefiting from her decades of experience. Lori is an asset to the profession, and I highly recommend her.
