Used him once and it was expensive but did a good job. Went back the second time and he butchered two dresses - one of which I was supposed to wear to a wedding. He would not take responsibility. He eventually refunded the cost of the alternations, but I’m still out the cost of the dresses. It really soured my opinion of the store unfortunately. Please beware! He seems to overcharge because he’s in a central location but he takes advantage of people. He takes on too much work and does himself a disservice.

Highly recommended.I came to have the pants of the suit I bought altered and needed it the next day for an event I went to. He was able to accommodate and boy, the pants were spot on!Thank you for the wonderful service!Will def be back!

I don't normally leave reviews but I'm very impressed by the quality of workmanship here. The owner did a great job hemming my and my sister's dresses. The dresses came out with a perfect floor-length. The place is also reasonably priced especially given the location (just across from the Eaton Centre) and the quick turn-around time (a week for both dresses). I had gone to another tailor nearby but ended up going with Silk Tailor at half the price quoted by the other tailor. I highly recommend.

Had just bought a suit from the Eaton centre and needed the trouser brought up an inch or so. Went to Silk Tailor and the kind gentleman working was able to make the adjustment while I waited, it only took 10 mins and charged $20. He done a quick and efficient job and offered good advice and a nice service. Would recommend and use him again for sure

After 30 years of trying a good alteration tailor, I found the very best in the heart of downtown, right across from Eaton Centre!A kind, friendly, owner, a reasonably priced and WHAT AN AMAZING JOB!Thank you guys, You are the best of the best!

He butchered my dress. DO NOT GO UNLESS YOU WANT TO RISK YOUR CLOTH GETTING OUT OF SHAPE. Not only he is overpriced due to location, he doesnt deliver quality. He did okay job in my jean shortening (which is basic) I brought my dress shortening and asked jf he can shorten my knit dress. He said “of course but with bit of hemming” but I end up getting wobbly looking dress that I can no longer wear. He ruined the dress and did not even apologize or provide refund. Worst alteration EVER

Great Master! Fixed a hat that was too big for my father’s in law head. If he fixed that, he can fix anything.Unfortunately don’t have a picture before, but I am definitely coming back. Very fast and professional, would give 6 starts if was possible. RECOMMEND!

Suyar's a great guy, and does quality alterations. I've taken a number of jackets in for shortening of length and/or sleeves, and I've never been disappointed. He takes direction, but will give you his honest opinion (note: ask for his honest opinion).I first found him when I had a Hugo Boss jacket that needed alterations, and one of the staff at Hugo Boss in the Eaton Centre recommended him for about half the price, and as good quality.

Great service and reasonable prices.I’ve been here twice - the owner did an excellent job tailoring a men’s dress shirt from being too big and baggy to being slim fitted - it looked great!I brought a pair of pants in and the alteration was not quite right in the first fitting. The pants were too long. When I explained this, the owner was very patient and agreeable - and fixed it to what I was looking for despite having to spend additional time on my fittings. He didn’t charge extra.Will be back!
