Capital Movers moved me recently and I was extremely pleased with the whole process. From my initial call to their office, followed by the gentleman who performed the cost estimate, and the movers themselves who loaded and unloaded my many belongings, I was very impressed. We found all aspects of our move with Capital Movers & Storage to be fully satisfactory. The staff who came to our home to load our belongings were polite and professional. The office staff who answered our phone calls were personable and reassuring and answered all of our questions, keeping us informed throughout the entire process. We stopped in to pick up some moving boxes and supplies in advance of our move date and had the same experience in person. We would recommend Capital to others looking for a reliable, accountable and professional mover. We had been referred to the company by a friend and we were not disappointed.

From the first phone call to the final unpacking, the moving experience went really well. To start, the meeting with Roger relieved much of the stress involved with a move. And after that, he was always available to answer any questions I had. The packers arrived at the appointed time and Kathy and the gals did a great job packing everything in sight ! and later unpacking. Everything arrived in good condition. Ed and the movers also arrived at the appointed time. Large pieces were covered with blankets, things were moved carefully, and runners on the floors meant that the house was left very clean after they were finished. At the new site, they were very patient when asked to change the placing of a piece of furniture from one spot to another. In all, a very professional job. All the people involved were efficient, friendly and helpful. And the final cost was lower than the estimate which is nice too.

While I did not hire Capital Movers I will not comment on their efficiency, price or reliability. However as a neighbour that lives two doors down from a move, I do have a comment. A 74' truck was pulled up in front of my house and blocked my driveway, plus the driveways of three others that share driveways. I was asked if I wanted to move my car. When I preferred not to do so, I was told that they would block my driveway anyway. I was then told that I wasn't a very considerate neighbour by the mover. I was also questioned as to how I moved in without blocking my neighbours. I said that I had the truck pulled into the driveway as to not inconvenience those surrounding me. Just an overall rude attitude that I find the most difficult to deal with as a seniors living in my own home.

We moved from Kingston to Toronto, from a third floor walk-up to a condominium tower. Capital Movers were excellent throughout. They communicated very well, were on time, took great care, and were organized (including doing an inventory of items). They took apart and rebuilt those items which required it. The movers were professional, courteous and friendly. We highly recommend them.

From the time of the quote to the last box being unloaded, Capital Movers were professional, and the rate was reasonable.
