Hands down absolute one of the best eating experiences I’ve ever had (including Michelin restaurants)!! They have 2 seatings - 6 and 8pm (sometimes delayed to 8:30pm). We didn’t have a reservation, but showed up about 20 mins before 6 and thankfully there was an available table at 6. There were limited options on the menu but each item was thoughtfully prepared and presented. The owner/chef walked us through each thing on the menu, and the restaurant is basically closed between seatings (even when there are open tables) so that everyone collectively experiences each course together. Will comment on each of our orders below. In general, can’t say enough good things about this place - amazingly friendly staff, great ambience, unforgettable food, and a night to remember! One note is be prepared to wait for food to be served because everything is made fresh.Sparkling rose - local and recommended, it was the perfect pairing for our upcoming meal.Dumplings - whitefish filling, thin wrapper, perfection with the sauce, mushrooms and garnishes.Calamari/octopus - the tenderest calamari I’ve ever had, must have!Scallops w blood sausage - scallops were the sweetest and perfectly seared.Cheesecake - strawberries weren’t ripe but the cheesecake itself was perfection, dense but not heavy, thin crust, so yummy.

One of the top 3 experiences in a restaurant of my life. From the amazing food, the warm and welcoming atmosphere, the great music, the great cocktails, the impeccable food, and of course the INCREDIBLE staff!Unforgettable…thank you gents!BUFFALO!!!!!

We walked into this place not knowing what to expect, but from the great reviews and happy customers, we knew we had to try it. The vibe was very laid back but efficient. The three gentlemen working that evening were doing a great job of making drinks, preparing the food and providing excellent customer service! We started off with the sweetbread and octopus and had mains of scallop/blood pudding and my girlfriend had the steak. Everything was delicious and the open kitchen setting was awesome to witness! Will definitely come back when in the area again!

Insanely awesome restaurant with staff that care and answer any questions related to food or life. Get a seat at the bar and you won’t regret it. I lived in St-Roch for 5 years and just found this gem, I’ll be here much more often now that I know how awesome it is!

Very impressed with this little place. The food was fantastic and the wine they recommended was also great. Photos are of charcoal fish and ancient tomato salad with mozzarella.

These guys are amazing at what they do. The food is delicious and portions are generous. Services are so attentive and quick that you'd forget there are only 3 people doing all the cooking and serving. I was by myself sitting at the bar and they made me feel very welcomed. Would recommend to anyone who is looking for a great dinner in Quebec city!One observation - the restaurant is small and when I visited the venting wasn't great (maybe because it's in winter?) Be prepared to bring some food smell home with you lol

For me, one of the great restaurants you need to try if you’re visiting Quebec City. No pretentiousness, tasty food and a great selection of natural wines. We were the last ones in the place and spent some quality time with our waiter Sylvain. Thanks again for the great hospitality.

Definitely a gem in Quebec !!! First time trying Bouding, it was well prepared. Beef with lobster was a bomb. Very fresh and tender. The staff are super nice and service is great. Will come back for sure.
