I lost my case with these idiots. I rented from Regina Housing Authority and even had a cleaning woman come in to clean. She came in just before they came fir a home inspection and bi weekly. According to Regina Housing it was unsanitary and I couldn't take responsibility for myself. They went as far to say I should be in assisted living which I don't qualify for as I purposely gotten a assessment done. The rentalman office agreed with them even after looking at my photos. Apparently the rentalman office 99% of the time favor Regina Housing. I can't help wonder what the pay off is. If I had the $100 I would of taken it to court.

Would give a lower rating if I could, I got evicted because they didn't answer the phone. Was on the phone almost 4 hours and waiting to know what my legal standing is/was. I hope they're actually busy and not just making poor excuses.

Typical, pathetic provincial government workers. Not interested in doing their jobs; helping tenants or landlords. Just here to clock in/clock out and not work 1 extra minute. In 2 dealings with them, the situation could have been resolved with a 5 minute phone call, instead they waste time of both our parties and adjourned the issue for months, held a hearing and I rightfully received damage deposit 10 weeks after moving.Waste of time and money. There needs to be more streamlined processes in place.

Here is my Story:The property manager told us that he is busy on 30th and first of the month and cant come to do a move out inspection. he said that he will come to do the move out inspection on 2nd June. I have texts from the property manager stating that he will be busy on 1st June, Few days later, The Owner (different from property manager) refused to give me my security because he claimed that I left the apartment too dirty. ( just to share some history, the owner passed some racial comments on me back in March and him and I exchanged some harsh words which he realized and apologized later). Since he took my security I claimed it through rentals man. One day prior to hearing I received a letter stating that owner withdraws the cleaning charges but claiming full security because We being tenants failed to leave the property on time (we were one day over , we left on June 2nd) .I told everything to hearing officer but four months later in December, the hearing officer ordered that 100% security is to be distributed to Landlord, because tenants failed to leave the property on time. What a justice.

There needs to be a set amount of people being allowed to live in these 3 bedroom buildings6 kids and 4 adults way to much people for a 3 bedroom. 16 suites and more then 13 are filled with big families! How are students saposed to live in such noise ! Respect use to be something we lived by living in close spaces I guess not anymore.

Wow they got back to me within 10 minutes, when I left an anonymous (meaning they didn't have a name) phone number to return. They must be slowing down in Dec. The info the lady gave me as a Landlord was helpful.

Took over 8 months to finally get a court date (i won). 3 months after that I am still waiting for my damage deposit back. Shouldn't take a year to get money back from a landlord who was making up claims. They also said they didnt process my claim until January even though I sent it in in November. Just disorganized and unhelpful.Edit: thought I should also mention that I was told by their automated machine to leave a message and that they would call me back when they could. I tried 3 different times and never ever got a phone call. Do yourself a favour and go in person-to-person. You can at least watch them goof around instead of wondering if they are.

Phone calls directed to USA, why even bother. Now online very confusing. Selling my rentals this province is a farce

Heard many stories from landlords regarding how it is close to impossible to be awarded a judgment against a tenant. Until I reluctantly became a landlord I assumed these stories were mostly fabricated. We found a tenant who asked if we would allow him to sign a minimum of a 1 year lease. We agreed and allowed him and his family to move into our home (not revenue property) and we left if furnished including a snow blower in the heated double car garage.Three months after he moved in he had unexpectantly obtained his citizenship and deiced to purchase a modest home as he no longer wanted to pay rent.He also sent me by mistake an e mail that was meant for his realtor asking how he could break the lease and was advised by the Realtor that he could not.He moved out with 8 months left in the lease so i kept the damage despot as I lived over 5 hours away and was forced to make 2 trips to clean the house that he left filthy as well as damaged the furniture and walls. The tenant took me to the rentalsman and I counter claimed and provided numerous text's of him apologizing for breaking the lease as well as the e mail he had sent to his realtor asking for assistance in breaking the lease. To the shock of my landlord friends, lawyer friend and realtor, I lost. This government agency is making these kind of decisions so they can keep the number of claims up as to justify their existence. They have ensured that I will never look into becoming a landlord and are probably the main cause of why there is a shortage of decent affordable housing.
