Canadian Tire

Dropped off my brand new vehicle at 10am for a scheduled appointment to change my tires to my new winters I purchased at this location. I gave my fathers phone number as I was going to work and he would be available to be informed once the vehicle was ready for pick up. By 1pm we receive a call to advise that the technician accidentally damaged the lug nuts on one tire and would need to contact the dealership to request a new set and the vehicle may be done on that date or the next day depending on availability of the parts that were needed and they would let us know. By 3:30pm I had not received a call so I decided to phone myself and see what the status was. I was told that the vehicle would be ready in 15 minutes. I arrived at 4pm to pick up my vehicle. When I spoke to the person at the desk to advise I was there to pick up my vehicle, another man told me it wasn’t ready yet. I said I have questions and I am not happy a simple tire change (that I could have done myself but they included it in my price to purchase the tires so I figured I would just have them do it) has taken 6 hours and I had a train to catch soon after the pick up. The man that interrupted advised that all the information and answers was provided to my father. I advised I am the registered vehicle owner (and only me) so I would appreciate my questions being answered. No response, I was ignored until he eventually brought me my keys.I inspected my vehicle and found:1. My tire pressure was severely low (20psi when the max for my vehicle is 51psi - I had to fill myself up to 40psi). All the wheels were at different PSI and uneven2. Scuff marks on my doors - for a month old vehicle3. My wheel locks were not secured and I had to hand tighten them until I got home and could tighten them properly with the proper toolsHIGHLY would not recommend going here for your winter tire changes. Especially if you are not experienced with vehicles and do not know how to double check their work.I felt extremely disrespected as a woman as well, as the older gentleman disregarded me completely and told me to ask my father for the answers to my questions on my vehicle... This location gives me the negative feeling I know a lot of women have when bringing a vehicle into a shop.Canadian tire - DO BETTER

I was having trouble finding the exact tent I wanted but an employee was kind enough to go out of his way and find the very last tent that was available the one that I wanted. Great service always ready to lend a hand and help you find what you're looking for Canadian tire is the best

Went in a few days ago to return an item bought online. For some weird reason the item purchased did not print on the receipt. However, Emma at CS was able to find it in the system with some magic and provided a refund back on the CC. Thank you so much!

I like this particular Canadian Tire store and I find the customer service department fair and honest. Hannah, together with another more senior lady were very professional, helpful and honest in processing our exchange order for a damaged air fryer out of the box, even thought the item was purchased from another store which unfortunately did not have any more of the same item for exchanage. Hannah also took the time to assist us in opening the box of the brand new air fryer and allowed us to check it out to our satisfaction. This is excellent customer service! I really appreciate Hannah's assistant and I can trust this store!

It's worth the drive to Whitby... I find coming here instead of Oshawa is always worth the trip. The last purchase I made in Oshawa out of desperation was an expensive battery and was talked into the no hassle Five years free replacement warranty. I went back several times to replace it because when it dropped below five my vehicle wouldn't start. Oshawa told me that it tested fine and that it wasn't the battery. I was talked into having it serviced not once but twice. Over $1000.00 more later my car still won't start below five. Threw my hands up in the air when Oshawa still wouldn't replace the battery and honor the prepaid replacement warranty and brought it to Whitby. Same thing was said that it tested fine and I gave them the same reply as Oshawa that it won't start at below five or more. I was passed onto someone else who brought me a new battery and when I was expecting to pay they simply said it was covered under the prepaid no hassle replacement warranty. I can't tell you how shocked I was .... I just walked out in a daze.... Since the new battery it's been is low as minus -35 windchill and my vehicle starts with out any kind of hesitation. It was two years of going back and forth to Oshawa and it was nothing but stress and I was made to feel like I was crazy and that I was trying to steal from them when all they had to do was Honor their no hassle free replacement warranty. Please don't learn things the hard way like I did and just go to this location.

This place is annoying to shop at. The parking rows are so close together it’s very hard to get in and out of the lot with any SUV or pickup.Inside the item I was looking for was not on display , only 1 box high up on a shelf.Then when I went to leave I have to weave through a maze of shoppers and cashiers to get out of the store, heaven forbid you want to leave the store without buying a thing.Not friendly to shop at all.

I am amazed at How awesome Jen is in Auto service. I had to buy a ball joint press kit at a different Canadian tire, and when I brought it back to that store the next day with the receipt, they wouldn't give me anything back, even though it wasn't used. I came here, and Jen was super helpful, and had me in and out within 10 minutes. She was so happy to help, and you can tell she truly loves her job. I would give her 10 stars if it was an option lol. Super happy with the outcome of this store and customer service when the other one turned me down. Thanks!

i went for my tiers warranty which i bought with tiers from this location. one of the four tire got problem so i went to their service center and met Marcus who is service manager. what a great experience and amazing customer service he checked the tires and found that problem and ordered new tires for me and told me that as soon as tires are here he will give us a call. Thank you Marcus for your great customer service i will be definitely coming back to this location for my future buying and will recommend this location for all of my friends and family..

Auto service department has gone downhill. No one answers the phone, you have to wait on the line and they close at 6:00 PM n weekdays now. I had to call to get an update on my vehicle after it being there for 2 days, then I'm told no update because all mechanics are on lunch break. Finally get a call back and I'm told they can't fix the issue so take it to another garage somewhere in Oshawa. Went in to pick up my vehicle later on that day and asked why the service is not at all what it used to be, I'm told that a lot of mechanics quit as well as service managers. It's a shame because it used to be a reliable place to bring in your vehicle for service. Won't waste my time and money bringing my vehicle back here ever again.

I had the best experience that I have had in a very long time at this Canadian Tire!For the first time that I asked for help I actually got it and I was not just given a row number! I went looking for a replacement smoke detector. John in the hardware department actually walked me to the smoke detectors and explained to me what my best option was. I was actually quite blown away by his knowledge and courteous service. Way to step it up Canadian Tire!
