New Empress Chinese Cuisine
We have been customers for years and they never seem to disappoint! Tonight we called and the driver was already gone for the evening. She so kindly offered to call him back to ensure my wife got the war wonton soup she was craving! Thank you so much for delivering us hot soup on a cold night…. Happy wife happy life! New Empress Chinese Cuisine
We initially started to have food from this restaurant about a year and half ago, in which the food and the portions were excellent. Recently however, something changed, and the portions are now seemingly half of what they used to be and are abysmal for the price (containers are half full). The flavour and consistency of the food has also changed, and is really not worth the price they are asking. The spring rolls have a soapy after taste, the breaded almond chicken is drier than a match stick, & the chow mein is overly starchy and 1/2 cooked. Unfortunately we will not be going back, and will now be searching for another Chinese restaurant to try.

Not one to complain or leave negative reviews typically however I wont be ordering from here again! Ordered the sesame chicken" which wasnt chicken at all but instead some sort of coagulated ooze coated in sweet and sour sauce with a few sesame seeds thrown on top. Maybe the worst meal Ive had since moving to Kelowna over 15 years ago

Dirty food!If your looking for well cooked, fresh food.... it's not here.I called for delivery at 5:33 PM. I didnt actually receive my order until 7:37 PM. And what the served me was dry, over cooked, burned sugar taste, and over all not worth the $100 I had to spend.Look at the pictures and decide if this is appetizing to you before ordering. Dirty food! They don't clean the intestine out of the shrimp. I don't like eating poo!!!Hey New Empress, if you care about what your customers think and want people to return to your restaurant, consider addressing some of the issues in your reviews.I will not order again and I will tell everyone I know to read my review.

They accepted an order close to closing which had to be delivered relatively far away. The food was excellent, and the man delivering came pretty fast. I couldn’t be happier!! thank you!!!As a suggestion a vegetarian Mapo tofu would be fantastic if that is reasonably doable

So Disappointing! We have ordered before with Food being good. Not this time! A black hair in my Won Ton Soup and Chow Mein so dry with no flavour or veggies. When I called to express my concerns…. The lady was totally rude to me and hung up. I will be returning to the Yum Yum Tree at Capri Centre where the food is consistently delicious and customer service is excellent.

Food was good and portion size was what we expected (not small). We ordered a single combination B and E less than 1hr before closing time and hubby and I split the combos between each other. I have to say the chicken balls and almond chicken was a bit dry (definitely needs sauce to eat) which is why the 4 stars instead of 5. HOWEVER, one of the best food for everything else. The ginger beef and sweet and sour pork was light and crispy and well sauced (and not soggy) and the meat was tender and juicy. Everything had loads of flavour and the 2 combinations was more food than we could eat.Our family get together usually consists of ordering a dinner for 8 (for 11 people) at another very well known Asian restaurant on hwy 97 but we definitely will be passing along ordering the dinner for 8 here next time and see how they fair. Will definitely be ordering here again.By the way I lived many years in Ottawa so I've had real Cantonese food and from what we've tried this is the closest one I've tried in Kelowna.Sorry no photos because it was too good to stop long enough to take one.
