The Liberal Cup
The place is very sectioned off and dark inside. Table was sticky but I think it is just from the finishing coming off, makes it feel dirty though when you have to peel the wooden flight holder off of it to move it and spill the beer. The server was friendly.The flight is a good deal 7 samples for 7.50. Beer is OK. I like probably 3 of the 7 for my tastes.The spinach dip is good. Like the bread and chips they provide for it. Onion rings are good too but a tad too much seasoning salt.The closed off atmosphere and sticky tables are enough to make me skip it next timeUpdateWent again well this is the third time. Food is consistently good. But could definitely use a good cleaning.

Delicious food, great customer service and wonderful atmosphere! We ordered The Liberal Burger with fries and the Chicken Salad Wrap with chips. Both were magnificently curated to please anyone's palate. Both came with a sphere cut pickle and the fries AND chips seemed extra fresh. The chips were thicker than a regular restaurant's chips, so they may have been hand-sliced. Not 100% sure, but they were amazing and complimented the creamy Chicken salad, which was served with fresh greens and a tasty tortilla. I've also had the French Onion Soup and is was ABSOLUTELY the BEST I've ever had! The waitress, Mimi, was friendly, punctual, and accurate with our orders. Would 100% go there again. If you're new in town or just visiting, you MUST experience this wonderful establishment. You won't be disappointed! They even have vegetarian and pescatarian options.

May family has come here a few times over the years, and we have the same experience each time. The staff is nice, but the food takes forever. The waitress this past time gave out bags of pretzels to hold us over after assuring the food was being plated for over half an hour. The food took well over an hour in total from when we ordered. According to my family, the food was fine but nothing exceptional.

We visit Maine twice a year for the last few years and this is always our number one stop! My husband talks about the cask ales all year long and we both love the food. We’ve always had good and friendly service even when the place is packed. Absolutely one of our favorite places to visit!

This restaurant was suggested by a friend. Great beer list got to love the dark beer. I ordered the meatloaf dinner that didn't let me down. The vegetable was a pureed squash. We ate outside on the patio that allows us to watch the traffic go by.

Good vibe. Their beer was solid, with their Bug Lager (that is actually a pilsner) being a standout. Build your own bloody mary was a nice touch (see pic). Service was painless, Samantha our server was excellent. Bathroom was clean. Overall nothing but net & we can easily recommend. Cheers!

Good, buzzy atmosphere. The two beers i tried on tap were good, prices for 20 oz and the rest of the food are great. Decent quality pub food, partner and I tried a burger special and the meatloaf (amazing) - got comped a shrimpcargot" app due to a mistake with the sauce so service was very good as well =)"

The food was decent, the best part was the $7.50 flight you get of all 7 of their beers on tap. I didn’t love all the beers but I enjoyed having the option to try them all for a low price. The server was helpful even though I was full of questions. It was chill for a restaurant setting.

UPDATE:Great food! Love the Summer Wheat. Pot roast was excellent, as were the beer battered clams and the small portion Fish & Chips! Excellent. Thank you!This place has a consistent beer selection, the food is always good and the prices are great. We stop in here every trip to Maine. The pot roast is awesome.
