The team at assured showed complete professionalism from the very first phone call until project closure. From the very first sales call, they broke down the entire process and was transparent with everything from timeline to estimated cost. They came the same day and even provided a detailed quote on the spot.We did compare with other companies and Assures baseline cost had better flooring, stairs and bathroom material. When the project started, we worked with their designer on multiple ideas for a layout. They gave good suggestions for what to watch out for when doing X vs doing Y.Once the build started, we used an app to view the schedule and they had photos of all the completed work. When we say the layout in the first week of build, we decided we wanted a slight change, we sent them a message Friday night and they came Saturday morning to readjust the layout.Through every step of the process they were very accommodating and very available. When there was an issue during the process, we would message them and they would reply immediately. They also would not close off the project until we were 100% satisfied. We are quite happy with the finished product and have already recommended assured to friends and family.

Excellent customer service, on budget, on time and professionally clean work.I felt the sales person were very helpful and friendly in keeping my kitchen re-work within budget, and went out of their way to guide us with beautiful & affordable options. My wife and I wanted to fully renovate our outdated narrow kitchen, but we thought we needed customized cabinets to maximize the space. Customized cabinets are costlier, so at the owner's recommendation Assured design team spent hours with my wife to fully customize the pre-fabricated cabinets to make our kitchen perfect without the added cost. We love the white subway tiles and the rustic shelves. They also mounted the climbing men free of charge. Definitely will recommend Assured highly!

We hired a contractor to renovate our basement but it turned to be a nightmare as the contractor ruined our project; the design, the framing, the drywalls, and electricity did not fall under the Ontario Code. Huge thanks to Assured basement Inc. to easily discover all these infractions, fix everything and giving us a wonderful experience! After calling Assured basement Inc., we had Michael coming over; he checked the basement and gave us a reasonable estimate price. After that Ryan, make a visit to the house to figure out what plan to carry out for a proper work as the basement was done unprofessionally with the previous contractor. Quick thinking, Ryan changed the design of the basement from one bedroom to a two bedrooms and a den. With a friendly and professional manner, Ryan explained to us with a detailed manner what needed to be done and the timeline for the work to be done.First step is the demolition: When the worker start the demolition process, we noticed that the workers always clean the mess after them. The process was quick! After demolition, Ryan come for follow up and he shared with us the new design to submit to the town. The approval of the design was fast and the work in the basement started. All the workers that comes to do the job are very respectful, punctual and professional with great communication skills.Because we have to enlarge two windows in the basement, Ryan used his expertise and skills to enlarge only one window instead of two while respecting the code. This save us money! After finishing the basement, we are extremely pleased to have good-looking two bedrooms legal basement with Nice flooring, Beautiful kitchen, Stylish Bathroom…. It was done very professionally and quickly. We cannot thank you too much Assured Group Inc. for such excellent job! Thanks to everyone that was involved in this project Camilo, Reilly, caneisha and Ahmed etc. Way to go Assured Basement!

We just had our basement completed by Assured Basements. We are extremely happy with the work done, hence the 5/5 rating. All the contractors were professionals, respectful, and hard workers. Every group from the framing to the finishings was excellent. They all cleaned up after their work was done. We were given a 4 to 6 week period for completion and despite having 2 setbacks, through no fault of their own, the work was completed on time. From the owner Ryan, the project manager Andrej, the sales rep Mike, and all the workers who are too numerous to name, they all took pride in their work. We would highly recommend Assured Basements.

We were looking to finish a small-ish basement in our 100+ year old home. After getting quotes from 5+ contractors, we decided on Assured Basements after getting comfortable with the quality of their previous work, the level of communication and transparency that the project management would have, and the fair & competitive pricing.Very happy with our decision - the work started almost immediately after initial deposit was provided, and progress was made almost every day from project start to completion.Being price-sensitive, our salesperson - Mike - was very helpful in helping us understand the flexibility and tradeoff of our choices and project scope, and was also helpful in facilitating a line of credit for the completion of the work.In our initial inspection and design session, Ryan & Hollis (the Project Managers) made sure our needs were understood and what options were available. Caneisha was instrumental in ensuring our design preferences were implemented and the 3D modeling accurately reflected what the after" condition would look like. It was extremely valuable to have the entire team available on a WhatsApp group and their responses were very timely. Communication is absolutely crucial when dealing with the kinds of surprises an old house can hold!Entire job finished within the estimated timeline of 10-12 weeks

Absolutely amazing experience. We enjoyed working with the team! Ryan and team exceeded our expectations and helped us optimize our space and worked with our budget.Because we had a brand new house under Tarion, the Team was so quick we received the permit within 3 weeks and then they took about 5 weeks to build the basement .It was a great learning experience on how builds take place and it is exciting to host our family here

This is my experience with Assured Basements. I aim to provide a more detailed explanation of my actual and complete experience. Our home has gone through many renovations over the years, the basement being the most recent. Of all the contractors we’ve had, Assured Basements is the best one overall. Not perfect, but the best overall. When I called Mike, the sales manager, to get a quick estimate on the job, within a couple hours, he was in Barrie, coming in from the GTA. He didn’t mess around. He drew up plans according to what we might want. He is a real talker, which some will enjoy, some will not, but the man knows his job. He can quickly analyze a space and come up with accurate drawings. He also tries to close the deal quickly and he does apply some pressure. This doesn’t bother me but it could turn some people off. Mike makes it clear that you should not waste your time looking elsewhere. In the end, he was right. We did run into a glitch after we closed the deal and realized we needed a design change.Hollis (architect), Perry (supervisor) and Enrique (site manager) came to the home to help finalize our design, and they were professional. Again, these guys really know their jobs. They got everything revised on their laptops and we had a ready floor plan, down to the fixtures and wiring. This pushed the cost up and we had to renegotiate our package. At this point, Ryan, the company manager, worked directly with us and in the end we got a fair price on the revised package. When at the showroom to pick materials, Caneisha and Ryan spent hours with us choosing floors, doors, finishes, and getting the final choices updated. They use the Buildertrend app to plan and document everything. Everything is in front of you. Hollis and Perry also worked with us to update all drawings and make sure everything was clear. Hollis is an expert in design and has a pleasant manner about him. He’s patient, thoughtful, and put us at ease. Now for the construction. The project was estimated to take 8 weeks but it really took 10. They got to about 95% done in 8 weeks but a few parts took time to arrive and a few odds and ends needed fixing and those dragged on a bit. But basically, the crew was on schedule. My most positive comments are reserved for Enrique. Enrique was the site manager and he was on site most days, either doing the work himself or managing subcontractors they brought in to do the electrical, etc.Enrique is seriously good. He does good clean work, is responsive to requests, and ensures a high standard is maintained. If something doesn’t look perfect, he’ll fix it. But he’s also a good guy. He was always so kind and sincere with whoever was at home, and was very respectful of the environment. He worked very hard, responded to all requests, and went the extra mile. He’s the one you will see and deal with the most, and he deserves full praise. The basement came out looking beautiful. Everything we had imagined came to be reality, and overall the work met or exceeded our expectations. Ryan made sure we were satisfied. For example, the shower head was a bit low, being a basement shower, but they came up with an innovative lever to help raise the shower head so that tall people could fit underneath. The bathroom/shower was the star of the show. The tiling work was great and the overall look and feel were more than we expected. The floors, baseboards, and doors were all installed perfectly, and the paint/finishing done to a high standard. The oak stairs look amazing.Overall, Assured Basements delivered. In the end, they did everything they said they would do. Everything upfront and clear on their app, and aside from some delays, they were spot on with their estimates for everything. In the end, we got a great basement at a very competitive price. While there can certainly be a few areas for improvement in the total experience, they still fully deserve 5 stars, and indeed they are the best overall contractor we have dealt with.

Assured Basements (Basement Renovation Contractors)
We wanted to finish our basement as a legal apartment for my parents. We always conveyed this to all contractors we had inquired with including this company. So when we were given our initial quote on the first meeting (where my husband and I signed and put down $2000) we thought that the quote given would be the cost of the project. I knew that there would probably be added costs in the end of it all, but figured it would be close to the quote in the end. When we had the meeting in the showroom to pick our selections for finishes (which I did like that process) we were gobsmacked at the cost given to us at the end of that meeting. It was practically double the initial quote. When I had questioned that, I was told that I was not quoted for a legal basement apartment although I know my husband and I had communicated that from the start. At this point we already felt committed and I did have some faith that these guys would deliver a nice space in the end (this is a learning experience for us and a big character check). We were not happy that the initial quote basically doubled by the end of the selection meeting but when I had previously inquired with other contractors regarding a legal basement apartment the costs were pretty much to par. We just felt like we were in a bait and switch" situation. The company could improve greatly with their sales approach and transparency in that way. A company that is fully transparent regarding finances and cost would benefit greatly in gaining full trust of their clients. With that being said we are satisfied with the work that was done and all the workers that came to our home to provide a safe and nice space for my parents to live in. All workers were courteous and professional and always left the space clean at the end of their work day. I appreciate Camillo working really hard especially in the end to patch up any rough finishes. It took longer than expected to finish but the end result was a safe legal basement apartment for my parents that is cozy and well done- a space that they enjoy."

We contacted a handful of contractors before deciding to start with Assured. After meeting and speaking with Mike, he gave us a quote within our budget. We were under the impression that we’ll get all we wanted (keeping in mind we may have to shell out a tad more for upgrades - although we were going to pick most standard items to stay in budget) and was comfortable to give the $2000 deposit. However, after visiting the showroom and concluding the design meeting, we were surprised to see the quote increase upwards of $20,000 and to stay in budget, we would’ve had to sacrifice on things we thought were included in the initial quote.During the design meeting, we learned the reason for the huge jump was because our initial quote was missing items that we had discussed wanting. Had we received a more accurate quote in the beginning, it would have helped us make a more informed decision to proceed or not. For example - we were quoted for stair steps and railing but did not include stair risers, stair pickets or posts which seem like minor details that would be obvious to include but was not and definitely added up. I also expressed wanting an open staircase so I can see my kids from upstairs while they are playing but the labour/materials required to achieve this was not included in the quote either, amongst other details we discussed. It felt like a bait and switch situation in the end resulting in losing trust with them. Since it was going to be loads more than we expected, we decided not to proceed with Assured but paid for the design work that was done thus far. With that being said, Mike, Ryan and everyone we have met and dealt with were knowledgeable and professional. They always responded right away and were understanding when we wished not to proceed and did not give us a hard time. We were sad it couldn’t work out but could not justify proceeding with the price jumping so high over our budget. We don’t doubt their ability to perform and I’m sure we would’ve had a basement we liked if we could afford such a jump but wish the communication was better from the beginning. We would recommend to not only have a sales person come to the initial meeting but also a designer/architect to make sure everything wanted can be achieved and to get a more detailed/accurate quote before committing to place the $2000 deposit. When we inquired, the designer/architect only came after the deposit was made.
