Great service. Had an appointment booked prior for biometrics and it was one of the easiest processes. The security and staff were very helpful and walked me through the full process being very pairing and kind. Will visit again for future needs and will recommend! :)

Arrived last week on a Wednesday morning at 7:40am for a priority passport renewal. You are pre-screened in an area immediately to the right of the Jasper St. entrance. Masks required (they provide one if you don’t have one). You are given a color coded number and asked to wait. White numbers are regular appointments(sit on the right) Pink numbers-priority, sit on the left. At 8:20am they call the first 15 numbers (all colors). You are escorted as a group to the opposite end of building and taken to the front of the line for the passport clerks. As I had a priority ticket we were with a clerk by 8:30am. All paperwork was verified and paid for within 15 minutes. As I had a priority ticket, my wife joined me with a regular passport renewal. Both were done at the same time. A two-day renewal cost me an extra $50. My wife was notified hers would be mailed by priority post by Feb 15th (two weeks processing). We were all done within 30 mins.I recommend you arrive around 7:30am and don’t go on a Monday morning. People generally start arriving around 8:30-09:30. They post wait times online if you arrive later. Also, if you need a photo redone because it’s rejected, the clerk will still process your application and you can pay for it. There is a passport photo store on the main floor near the Jasper St. entrance that will take your picture in 5 mins. ($18) You can return to the front of the line and security guards will let you drop off the new pictures.I returned two days later, after 11am as requested, and went to the front of the line with my receipt to collect my passport. No registering or waiting required. Got my passport within 10 minutes. It was a very pleasant experience. All staff are very friendly and calm.Parking is available within Canada Place (underground) at $17 for an early bird -all day parking or on the street outside with mobile payment. Good luck!

Had a fantastic experience with my emergency passport application. Passport was ready within 24 hours. A huge thank you to staff, especially Hakima who was extremely effective at her work, yet very compassionate.

Detailed review of what to expect:Walked into the building from front doors and passport office was to the right, was told by a guard that walk ins must go down the escalators and to the right for PRE pre screening , stood in line and talked to someone, he looked at our applications and confirmed we had all of our documents then he gave us a number based on how urgently we needed the passport. We were then called back upstairs by a guard and had to wait in another line for another pre screening, this person looked over our paperwork and had us edit something on our application then gave us a code that we needed to listen for; eg T007. Then we sat in another area for around 2 hours waiting for our code to appear on the TV screen with the corresponding desk we need to be at. Once called we stood at the desk, passed our applications, birth certificates, id’s and photos to the agent and all we had to do was sign a document, pay and leave! Once we were at the agents desk it took around 20 mins, mostly from the agent just entering the info.TIPS:-Make sure to bring ALL documents and make sure your guarantor signs your application AND photos.- Do not be annoying and not go to your assigned desk when your code is called. There was so much time wasted by agents calling a code over and over again. Make sure to memorize it.- BRING a snack- Book an appointment if your able to!- Don’t go around lunch time, agents will be taking breaks and there will only be a few working- Honestly, either go early or an hour before closing. No one goes close to closing so it seemed like it was going faster.

Made me wait 2.5 hours after they pre filtered me and then told me I could not apply for a passport renewal because I was slightly too early in the process. When I provided a letter explaining why I was applying about a month early , as per the rules in their application, the employee said it wasn't a valid" reason. So they failed to properly filter me

So the site says the best time to come is 8:30 on Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, Friday morning. This is totally not true. I paid for 2 hours of parking figuring I was getting here at the least busiest time…I am currently in a line that is as long as Canada Place is and my parking is about to expire. And since I am in a line inside the passport office, it’s not like I can just run out and pay for more parking. Oh…also, I was with my 4 year old and 14 year old and they were told they could not enter the application area with me. So they had to wait outside the Passport office for over 2 hours. Brutal. Completely brutal. This is our government service at its best!

Came here to get passport renewal. Had to wait close to an hour to speak to one of the agents. Customer service was terrible and the agent was unhelpful. Left me with a customer service number to follow up regarding passport. Would not recommend but only if you must

Big long lineup. Need to get a number and show them your documents. They'll give you a number and you'll need to grab a seat and wait for your number to get called. Put your hand up and then make your way to Service Canada reception area and wait till your First name" gets called and they'll tell you which booth you need to go to. That person will then process your application. Then
