Historic Hat Creek Ranch
We parked our motorhome in the dry camping lot overnight, what a great location! Easy to get to and ample parking. Lots of other campers doing the same thing the night we were there.

Stayed in the covered wagon. Definately 5 star as far as covered wagons go. Staff and area were wonderful.

It really is a beautiful area. There is the restaurant, they do tours, and there is a huge covered area that you can book for events. They even have camping spots!

My visit was an included stop at Hat Creek through a bus tour Not only did I enjoy browsing the gift store (and bought some beautiful artwork cards there) I thoroughly enjoyed a refreshing cool drink and a wonderful sausage roll for morning tea! If I were traveling this way again, I would stop and spend a longer time viewing what the Ranch may further have to offer - it's a beautiful location, and wonderful flower baskets adorn the main buildings.

Historic Hat Creek Ranch
Best Ranch so far i ever visited. Authentic houses, logcabins and sheds. Beautiful historic atmosphere and a window too the past of the cariboo-road. All of the staff were very polite and helpful. You could ask them all about the past of the ranch and the people who used to live there. A great experience for young and old. Very recommended.

Basic, functional and clean cabins at a reasonable price. Better than staying in the dumpy hotel in Cache Creek! Definitely not luxury, but bed was comfortable and shower was great. Also had a small fridge and coffee machine in cabin.Unfortunate that restaurant on site not open on Tuesday/Wednesdays so had to drive into Cache Creek for food.

Don't want checkout before 9 AM. Not a good stop if you have a long way to go. Would not accept payment night before either. We got there at 7 PM, and there was no one in the office to tell us which cabin was ours. Finally found someone who sent us to one cabin and told us key must be inside. Cabin was occupied by someone else! Not good customer service!!

We just stopped there for a coffee break on our bus tour. Staff very friendly, efficient and had great sausage rolls.

Wonderful place to visit. Ice cream was delicious. The souvenir store was closed due to staff shortage. The stage coach was not running as well due to staff shortage. I was very disappointed.

Historic Hat Creek Ranch
Totally unimpressed with the food and slow service. Since we were a bus group our choice for lunch were premade sandwiches (ham or turkey) or an 8oz cup of chicken soup. Our tour guide said on the bus they used to be able to handle two or three busses at a time. I guess when you are the only option in town, you don't have to be good.
