This was our first time eating here and we’re already planning a return visit. We live out of town and we were looking to try a new place somewhere and the wonderful reviews here were the main reason we picked Orestes.From the time we arrived to our departure after eating, our experience here was superb. We were greeted by friendly hardworking staff and before we knew it we were devouring our freshly prepared delicious meals. The service was outstanding, our two meals were outstanding, and the atmosphere here was equally outstanding. This is a fabulous place for authentic Greek food. We will definitely come back. Thank you to everyone who ensured our dinner out was so enjoyable.

We have never had a bad meal at Orestes!The service is super attentive, with many staff checking to see if everything is good.My only complaint is that the hours are so very limited, and we have had a few times where the restaurant was closed, on their scheduled openings!I recommend calling ahead to confirm!

Okay wow. The other reviewers didn’t lie when they said the owner treats you like family. We had a long conversation about the town and life! The food was very very good with big portions. The restaurant is very decorated with spacious seating.I’ll be back next time I’m around!

Undoubtedly the best place in town. Special attention is given to food quality, preparation, and presentation. Guests are treated in a manner which is commonly expected at an upper-end restaurant with highly trained staff. All the other customers at the time of our visit seemed equally happy with the whole experience. Thanks for a wonderful dining experience!

Excellent service!! Very good lamb roast and calamari. Portions are generous and well priced. Try the Ekmek (homemade Greek dessert), you won't be disappointed ;-)

I'm a picky eater to start. I've had many things on the menu here and all have been good, but now i always go with the roasted lamb. It is cooked perfect every time and has a great flavor that i want to try to reproduce at home but haven't been successful at yet unfortunately. Good service as well. Family run business that deserves your patronage.

One of the best fine dining restaurants in Port Alberni, that serves Greek food. It is a family run business with the members of the family serving the guests. The service is warm and homely and the food is very sumptuous. We had some crispy bread called Tsatsiki with a cucumber yogurt dip, followed by a spinach, onion, olive and feta pizza and a Caesar Salad. For the main dish we ordered the Fish Platter which had Salmon, Halibut, prewns and Calamari with Rice, Roast Potato and some Greek Salad. It was sufficient for the three of us and filling.

Chicken Souvlaki was tasty and moist. Roast lamb was flavorful and not overly salty. Great service and staff are very friendly.

We tried Greek food for the first time while staying in Port Alberni. We ordered Roast Lamb and Grilled Sockeye Salmon. Lamb dish was really good it was well cooked. Veggies, rice, Potato and the sip was all delicious. Fish was fine but the quantity was not aligned with the price we paid for it.The ambiance was nice and the host was also very nice and kind. The place was clean and COVID-19 protocols were followed.The only lost start here is due to the high price of dish with respect to the quantity provided.
