October 2019 we had a 19 day Southern Africa adventure arranged by Andrea at Lion Dog African Safaris. Countries we visited were South Africa, Zambia, Zimbabwe, and Botswana. From beginning to end Andrea looked after all of the details and the whole trip was stress free. We had a variety of accommodations and all included comfortable beds, a good selection of tasty, healthy foods and staff that were friendly and happy to take care of us. All of our guides were knowledgeable and professional and we enjoyed spending time with them and getting to know them. The animals were the highlight of the trip and we were amazed by the quantity and variety. Our guides and trackers worked very hard to find the animals and showed a lot of care and respect towards them. Finally, Andrea booked a few activities for us that were nice bonuses during the trip and were not experienced by many other travellers we met. Thank you, Andrea, for an unforgettable adventure!

Traveled to Tanzania in October 2019 with my husband and our very good friends. Spent 17 days in country exploring. Fantastic job. I highly recommend Andrea and her company. She was there though pandemic-related highs and lows. We just come back from a safari trip she organized. Great time to go. I did not get sick at venues and thought it was a great time to visit as attendance was lower than expected. I truly highly value her efforts, She has great connections in Africa. The venues and food were both fantastic.

We worked with Andrea and Lion Dog African Safaris for over a year to plan a trip that included Egypt and Tanzania and were extremely pleased with how easy the process was for our group of four. We first spent a week in Egypt that included a Nile cruise and visits to pyramids, temples and other amazing sites. From there we travelled to Tanzania where we experienced 10 days of travel and safari through several national parks viewing a wide variety of wild animals , including the big 5, often up close and personal. All of our guides, who were locals, were personable, knowledgeable, and very competent. Our safari driver /guide did an incredible job navigating the various safari roads, often under challenging conditions, to get us in the best position to view animals. We ended our trip with visits to Zanzibar and Mafia Island.Overall, we were extremely pleased with all of the arrangements, guides, accommodations, and food and would highly recommend Andrea and Lion Dog African Safaris to anyone considering this once in a lifetime experience in Africa.
