Great experiences with them. Have utilized their services on a few construction projects. Their team was knowledgable, and worked well with different contractors involved. They definitely ensured we were following best practices, and kept us up to date throughout each project.

I hired MTE in Stratford to review the balconies on a apartment building that I own. The original consultation, which I thought would include the engineering for this very small project cost 2500.00. The actual engineering was an additional 3000. The engineering was over the top in regard to being over engineered. When I submitted the drawings to welders I had estimates up to 46,000.00 to complete the project. I finally found a contractor that asked me if I was trying to contain automobiles with the railings. He proposed another way of doing it and submitted drawings that he had used on another apartment building in London. With a small modification these drawings were acceptable at a cost to me of 14,000 including the on site welding.In summary I would say that this firms prices are out of the reach of ordinary consumers, and their designs are way over the top in regard to pricing. My directive at the beginning of the process was for them to design something that would meet the requirements at a reasonable cost.I would strongly recommend consulting with another firm if cost is a factor. I would never use this firm in the future and found some of their employees to be quite rude and unprofessional.Terry Finlay Stratford On

They will do everything possible to delay, obfuscate and prevent payment disbursements. Do your due diligence. If you are (sub)contractor whose client is associated with MTE, get a significant deposit first. If you haven't committed to the contract yet, DON'T! Apply your resources to opportunities where the parties act in better faith.
