I’m a middle-aged woman who needed an e-bike. I’d had a bad experience elsewhere and wasn’t feeling great about bike shopping. I don’t know much about bikes, but the staff person Renee was informative, polite, and not at all condescending. Low pressure sales, clean, well stocked, and I ended up with a great new bike! I’d recommend this place to anyone who maybe needs a bit of hand-holding for finding that new bike.

Extreme Makeover: Mountain Bike Edition - featuring Mud Sweat and Gears .This mountain bike I've had for well over 15yrs. Most of it spent under my parents deck. Weathering each and every season under there. Clearlyyyyyyy. lol After inquiring via email (with photos attached) about repairs, it was recommended that I physically bring the bike in for a better look at it. Jay at the Stony Plain Rd location replied to my email with a friendly helpful demeanor. I took it into Mud Sweat & Gears Calgary Trail location (it was closest to me) kind of embarrassed not gonna lie. My bike was in poor condition. I was greeted with a smile and a friendly 'hello' at the repair desk. I explained my situation I said give me your honest opinion, is this bike worth getting fixed or do I take it to the eco center?! Quick once over and walk around of the bike, tech said we can salvage it. with NO JUDGEMENT. It's a good brand and frame is in good condition. That's the most important part, the rest can be replaced and/or tuned up. Gave me a cost with an estimated wait time of about 2 weeks. Not even sure if I am going to fully utilize my bike I gave the green light for a few hundred dollars in repairs. Got the call to pick it up and I couldn't believe it was my bike! Just LOOK AT IT! They managed to buff out the rust on the fork too! I'd go so far as to say they are miracle workers! You can see by the photos.Rides like a dream. Booya (my dog) loves it as she runs along side while I bike. Who knows where it will take me. In the event I don't end up using it I'll sell it. That way someone else can enjoy the bike. Either way, I'm happy and blown away. I can't for the life of me remember the tech's names who helped but please pass along my kudos to the entire team at the Calgary Trail location! Couldn't recommend Mud Sweat & Gears enough, any location!

Visited the store with my family and spent almost two hours with Liam. He went above and beyond helping with questions and showing us different bikes and ended up buying 3 bikes. We appreciated Liam’s patience, honesty and help!

Best bike shop in town!Not only is the selection vast & the pricing reasonable but the atmosphere is also stellar.The staff are always very helpful and friendly. Whether they are helping me to find a specific part, working on my bike or just chatting they are amazing. Also the management of MSG is something to take note of. They are heavily involved in the community, something you don't always see.If yer looking for a new bike, bike repair, parts or apparel this is your place!

Anytime I've been in an MSG store, I've had a good time. Aside from having a really solid range of bikes (especially for Kona and Rocky Mountain — two of my faves!), the staff are consistently friendly and willing to share advice/recommendations, without ever being condescending.Every tune-up I've had here has resulted in my bike being in awesome shape.Whether I'm looking for a new component or an entire new bike, MSG is always my first stop!

Top shelf! Some of the BEST customer service I have received as far back as i remember. Gary and the team went above and beyond to fit me with the right bike and all the essentials. Gary is a pleasure to deal with. He made sure to let me know how the shipping process for the bike works. He and team sent me photos of the bike during the entire process all along the way.. from inspection, tube up, prep to the meticulous packaging .. Gary was extremely informative, pleasant and responsive through the whole process...they simply know how to take care of customers. either in person or remotelythanks alot Gary!

Great customer service when I was at the Stony Plain location, from Paul and staff. Staff were knowledgeable,friendly and helpful. Repairs were performed in a timely manner to ensure we would not have to make a 3 hour trip back to Edmonton. I have dealt with MSG for years, both purchasing bikes and for service. Have always had a positive experience.A shout out to Max from Vicious Cycle in Jasper for going above and beyond to research bikes for me.
