this place had the rudest kids ever, ruined half my school life and the teachers never did somethig about it the most they ever did was told them theyd call their parent's which they did but that never stopped them, the kids there also ruined a lot of my friends school life aswell due to bullying the teachers there we very nice though just the bullying was a big problem

some kid that is not my sons skin color called my son the n word they should do better at this school

This is an excellent school. My children are much happier since they transferred to Lake Avenue. The school is very clean, and the teachers are excellent.

Honest review - Yes, the place wasn't very good for learning, but that was due to the fact that there were tons of immigrant kids (no hate, just stating that a lot of them were also ESL). The teachers try their best, so props to them for that. The place has been making additions as of recently, but I moved away before I could graduate. I have to admit, I was sort of glad to get out of that ghetto neighbourhood. I swear I'm not being rude, but I have to admit my new middle school was quite good at the whole school thing.Also, there were many ridiculous rules put in place:- pokemon cards ban (tf who does that)- you couldn't EVER go on your devices (even during recess)

Many others have similar stories like this but are often afraid of speaking out. But I'm tired of staying silent and letting this god awful school continue treating kids like this. There's a possibility that they've changed from 2008-2018. I don't know for sure. Maybe they have turned over a new leaf since then. But I'm highly sure they haven't considering there's still a good amount of negative reviews. If you're thinking of registering your children to an elementary school. Just register them to Viola Desmond. They have a Secondary School near it called Glendale so they'll stay familiar with the area. I would also recommend moving your children from Lake Avenue to a different public school. Maybe not every public school is better but you'll save your kids' creative minds by moving them to a school that actually cares about expanding it.

My first school in Ontario after moving from Montreal in 1978. I am still friends with my first friend from this school as well... 44 years later . Had a great experience here
