The Sanctuary Inn
I stayed at The Sanctuary Inn in the Fall of 2022 and it was a most pleasant, peaceful experience. The town of Val Marie is very small and The Sanctuary Inn has a great location within it to use as a base for exploring nearby Grasslands National Park. Our room appeared recently renovated and was stocked with amenities (including a private washroom and full kitchen). It was very quiet and the owners were very helpful and responsive. I enjoyed Grasslands more than I thought I would and I look forward to returning again in the future. Highly recommended.

A beautiful redone church that created 2 separate suites outfitted with everything needed to cook your own meals and have a restful sleep. Hosts were super friendly and delightful. Thank you!

We had an awesome time at Val Marie and Grasslands, and a big part of it was because of this beautiful inn. We stayed at the Moose Suite, and it has everything you need to make your meals, have a comfortable sleep and Peter and Caitlin are the best hosts, friendly and accomodating. We recommend it without hesitation!

The Sanctuary Inn
We had the honour to be the first guests in the Sanctuary Inn in July of 2022. It is a wonderful place and would love to stay again. It was peaceful, clean, and well put together with everything we needed for a wonderful stay while visiting the Grasslands National Park. We are hoping to return in 2023 and intend to book at the Sanctuary Inn again.

We stayed at the Inn for four nights in September, 2022. The room was clean, and had a kitchen to cook! The beds were so comfortable.Caitlin and Peter were wonderful and helpful Innkeepers with so much knowledge about Val Marie!I will definitely stay there again on next visit.

I stayed at The Sanctuary Inn for 4 days in autumn 2022. It was a lovely, peaceful place to be - comfortable, clean and welcoming. The kitchen was great to have so that I could cook meals and have food on hand no matter what time I got back from exploring nearby Grasslands National Park and the art retreat that I attended in Val Marie. Friendly, helpful hosts. Highly recommended.

The Sanctuary Inn
My co worker and I stayed here for work this past fall. It was amazing! The accommodation was great and so close to amazing hiking. The beds were comfortable, and the room was super clean. We did struggle with the wifi- but that can happen anywhere. I highly recommend this place and will definitely stay again when we are down that way!
