This Animal hospital is full of caring and kind people! They have saved a few of our animals lives and shown great care and compassion when we had to put our dog and cat down. Top notch!

These guys are amazing! I've been going here for the better part of a decade, I'll never go to another vet again. They are so great with dogs in particular, you can tell they truly care about the animals.

They truly care about animals. Without hesitation she took in my sick older dog when I was evacuating from hurricane Fiona. She kept him until it was safe for me to return. They gave him the best chance to recover and provided me with peace of mind during a stressful time. Thank you so much!

We had a dog with a tick. We called and even though they were busy they let us come in. They took care of the tick in less than a minute and were super friendly. I would recommend this vet to anyone in the area.

We are clients at another vet clinic and when our cats fall ill, it always seems to be on a weekend or holiday and it’s impossible to get in.We called the Abercrombie emergency on Sunday, not expecting an answer or help, but Dr Hodder agreed to meet us at the clinic within 15 mins of our call. Our cat was lethargic, not eating or drinking or using the bathroom so we feared a blockage. She gave him fluids and treatment, and we took him home within a few hours - the next day, he took a turn for the worst again and they accepted him for a follow up without delay, provided him more fluids and treatment, and over a 2 night stay they got him back to his healthy, cuddly self. Dr Hodder gave such a thorough examination of our kitty, and all the staff were kind and patient with our checkup calls and questions - and also with providing reassurance and keeping us calm.Thank you to Abercrombie Animal Hospital for helping our furry family member! We are forever appreciative.

Our kitten hurt her paw today and was bleeding pretty bad. We immediately called Abercrombie and they said absolutely take her in we’ll have her seen when we can. A few hours later she has antibiotics all cleaned up and back to herself! Can’t thank Dr Hodder enough ♥️Because we have our kitten through a local rescue, she was already pre registered at this vet. Our regular vet is in Truro as when we moved no local vets were taking new patients. However they said not a problem and took all our second cats information and registered him after asking about it! Because we already have the kitten there, it was not a problem at all. Such a huge relief having a vet close to home, just incase. Again thank you to the lovely workers and the amazing doctor.Sincerely - overthinking overprotective cat parents!

Called and you can't get an appointment at any vets from cape Breton to Halifax! They said they have 1 vet working at 3 different locations and can't barely keep the doors open. Unacceptable and they need to hire more veterinarians

I have had two of my dogs treated in emergency situations at Abercrombie Animal Hospital. They are compassionate and professional. Always keeping me informed of what was happening. I am extremely grateful for the excellent care my pups received here.
