This is where you go to for good value sushi. The ingredients aren't top quality (ex. the unagi is clearly Chinese sourced unagi that just doesn't taste as good as the Japanese sourced unagi) but you get a lot for the price, especially so for the combo rolls. Service was subpar but I chalk it up to a bad day, or perhaps the server was still learning the ropes.

I usually order from Uber Eats. Every time I am increasingly more disappointed with the aesthetic & quality. Never ordering from here again. Seaweed is horrible quality, stale, damp, and hard to chew. When you order the party tray sushi in the middle is squished & barely have anything in there! This time was the WORST! And the sushi never stay together, it always falls apart! Ugh. If you’re a sushi restaurant you might as well perfect what is supposedly your speciality.

Solid customer service. I had some issues with uber and accidentally paid twice, they contacted me a few days later and resolved it.Fish is fresh, and I highly recommend it. I suppose the only downside is that their menu for sushi is smaller than their dons and udons. Portions are also above average, and affordable.

The food is cheap which is good but the quality matches the price. I got a yam roll and an avocado cucumber roll but the rolls were small, falling apart and the nori was hard to chew through. The taste was good but I guess for a total of $8.70 I can’t really complain. This photo I had eaten half of it

Their salmon donburi bowl is huge and wholesome and filling. Generous seafood and vegetables and rice. Rolls taste great but portions can be a bit small.

The sushi is very tasty and the presentation is really good. Really good value for money. Most of all, the service is amazing!I will be coming back to this place again.

It was okay. Restaurant was clean. Sushi was not bad. Roll was falling apart and rice was moist. Their price is very good. Pre covid pricing. You get what you pay for I guess. If you look for economical and want to fill your hunger. This would be a good option.

Had a last minute dinner! We ordered 4 rolls for the two of us! It was definitely delicious! Haven’t had any deep fried sushi in a while!

Another staple place for hangouts between friends. Hakone is a lowkey restaurant hidden in a mini-mall that is close to Coquitlam center. The service is quick, water is completely being refilled and the food is great for it's price.I would definitely recommend bringing friends and family here :)

If you're looking for some good Japanese food at an affordable price, Hakone Sushi is a great option. They have a lot of Korean influence in their cuisine, so you can find some Korean dishes on the menu as well. The staff is friendly and the flavor and quality of the food is decent. Just be aware that they don't accept American Express.
