Dominion Automatic Transmission

Outstanding service! Subaru technician had created a crack in the transmission filler hole housing (so was leaking transmission fluid) and insisted on replacing the transmission at my expense, i.e. $10,000.00. Tre fixed it with the proper plug (which Subaru should have been using) and a little of his magic for $150.00!!Honest man who delivers when others won't.

Editing: Good experience, until the shop refused to provide a list of parts installed. Now we need that list and they have ignored our request. We paid a lot of money and deserve to know what was installedExcellent experience. Brought in a vehicle for a large repair, and the shop communicated with us through the entire process. Costs were discussed openly before being performed. The best part about this business is that they accepted the vehicle back to diagnose other issues and made certain repairs were completed under their own warranty without additional cost.

We recently moved to Alberta, unfortunately we had an issue with our vehicle. Although we thought it was an issue with the transfer case, turned out this was not the problem. We dropped the vehicle off in the morning by early afternoon we were advised it had a few issues.We told them to proceed with the repairs. They completed all the repairs the next day, due to road conditions they stayed after hours so we could still pick up the vehicle so we would have it for the weekend. The prices were very responsible and the services were carried out with integrity.

Never use these guys, not experienced, just want your money. Don’t bother taking a chance with these guys from the good reviews they get. Brought my transmission to them to get rear main seal and clutch changed and to check over the insides. They said everything inside was good and put those parts in. After getting it 3rd and 4th gear grinds. Took to a better mechanic and he opened it, dominion did not assemble it back together correct at all. Dominion charged $2k. Had to get car towed to this better mechanic then paid him $2300 to do the job right with full transmission rebuild, brand new synchros bearings, seals…. Dominion refused the car back after there problems, were very rude about all of it talking to them and horrible overall experience. Never use them, not worth the risk.

Honest and trustworthy shop....they always do a great job, I always use Dominion, Tre looks after my work trucks and personal vehicles. They are fair, good value, and tremendous service. I hands down recommend his shop!

I just had my starter replaced , axle seal and master seal done here plus my clutch on my maxima They guys here are awesome and they offer solutions to save you money. I did not plan on having to do my clutch at this time but it was explained to me that they had everything apart in doing my master seal and it was only an extra $400 to do my clutch vs coming in a year later where it might be a new job at $1,500. I have a 5 speed manual transmission. I highly recommend Dominion. They don't push any work on you and they are extremely honest. I would hate to think what this would have cost at the dealer.

Brought in my car after engine light went off 1 year after having them replace my transmission, they were able to fit me in quickly, took a look at the car, determined was not transmission related and didn't charge me for taking a look at the issue. They also provided a recommendation for someone to fix the problem. Very appreciative of their time and expertise. - Laura

Best repair shop in town!! Quick, honest, trustworthy work at a great price, and never try to sell you on services you don't need. I have been in twice since moving back to Calgary 6 months ago (with 2 separate issues), and both experiences have been A+ all around. Highly recommend!
