The food is outstanding. Hubby got snapper and mussles and I got Cajun angels and it was amazing!! Also clam chowder

Really great local spot! Couldn't get enough smoked salmon dip!! Walleye and Snapper were fantastic as well as the chowdah!! Staff was super friendly! We definitely will return! Thank you!

Quick friendly service, nice atmosphere and great view of the river from the 2nd level. Food was good but could have been better if it was hot. It was like warm when it arrived to our table.

Whenever my wife and I return to Michigan, we make a trek up to Marine City for dinner at the Marine City Fish Market. Aschewing the drive up US 95, we prefer the scenic route along the St. Claire River, passing wetlands along one side of the road and lighthouses and the river on the other. It's a cute little town, always worthy of a walk along its main street before or after a meal.The restaurant has grown considerably since we first began coming here, now featuring upstairs seating, offering views of the freighter traffic on the river as well as the eclectic fishing decor downstairs. It now features outdoor seating in more temperate weather. We always try to get a window seat to watch the freighters traveling on the river as we dine.The menu features primarily fish and seafood, but does provide meat and chicken selections, and an adequate beverage selection. There are now All You Can Eat" options Tuesday through Thursday. We usually choose walleye or perch

Marine City is a nice place for a little getaway on Sunday afternoon... After sunbathing at the beach or spending time at the waterfront park while watching freighters you will probably get hungry. The perfect solution for it will be a meal at the Marine City Fish Company. What you have to be aware of is that it will be best to make a reservation a couple days ahead. We tried to call the day of visit, a few hours before, and the place was already fully booked. We took a chance and went there anyway. After being advised on 55 minute wait (and were ready to leave,) we came up with the idea of sitting at the bar, were two empty seats. While walking to the bar, we noticed that there are very many available tables everywhere and the restaurant is half empty. Not sure what was causing this, maybe lack of employees? The food was good except mashed potatoes that were nicely served but had watery texture and powdery taste. If you really like mashed potatoes get a different side. At the restaurant like this I would appreciate real mashed potatoes rather than instant ones. Overall, we enjoyed the day. The restaurant is nice, big, the bartender was excellent, and we were surrounded by life music. Will go back if mashed potatoes improve...:-)

Wow! This place was Great! I received a recommendation from a friend to try Marine City Fish Co., so we made the trip on a hot evening in July and we are very happy we did. Been talking about the place with friends ever since. We were seated on the upstairs balcony facing the river, and had a wonderful view of the boats as they swept by, the old lighthouse, and the kids as they swam, jumping off the seawall into the river in the park across the street. Although it was hot that day, the balcony is all shade in the afternoon and evening, and the breezes made the place comfortable and pleasant. My family prides ourselves on knowing where to find the best clam chowder, and this was the best New England style clam chowder I have ever eaten. (Really Mom! We have to go next time you are here.) Fish was magnificent! We had walleye in beer batter, and perch in a thin tasty dredge, both fried, and they were both prepared and cooked to perfection. One other bright spot was the blue cheese they are using in their dressing and crumbles. It was top quality, and delicious. Only disappointments were my Bacon Wedge" salad arrived with no bacon

Bread had little taste to it. Under staffed wait staff took nearly an hour to bring our main course. Too loud to hear well and yet they had a piano playing too. Cod and shrimp batter fell off .

The food was very bland and made my stomach churn. Like the fish from what I heard at my table was pretty cold and my sandwich was really just two sticks of gristle and fat. The fries were thin and flavorless. But I did really like the appetizers. The workers are very nice even under pressure they keep their cool. In my personal opinion I won't be coming back after a $60+ meal even when we had to return a dish from it being cold and smelling off. Our appetizer didn't say how many pieces we'd be getting so we paid $10 for one and a half potato skins with a little bit of bacon on top. In short the food was cold took about 2 hours to arrive and the seats were very VERY uncomfortable to sit on.

First time here in a few years and food is still just as good as always. So many different things on the menu but always good. I tried the lobster ravioli this time and it was fantastic. If any complaints it would just be the wait for the food but it's worth it if you're not in a rush.
