My family of four was very disappointed with the fish and chips. We were excited after hearing locals say this place was the best so we had four fish and chips. However the fish we received was red fish (not cod fish), very dry and tasteless. The fries were likewise very dry and over all a very small portion. Given the area is well known for fishing we were extremely disappointed. If you go here, we do not recommend the fish and chips. So, so disappointed.

Avoid this place! One of (if not) the worst fish and chips experiences we've had in NL. My family and I were disappointed to receive dry, red fish -rather than cod. The fries were also dry and the portion was very small. If you're in Hermitage spend the gas to go elsewhere. This is not worth the price. They very much need to make improvements.

The jalapeño poppers were delicious.Service was good. Restaurant including bathroom was clean, spacious and kept with the lighthouse theme.Menu options were appealing.

Fast service and nice menu options. Nothing fancy but a typical rural Newfoundland dining experience. There's also a cafe inside for coffee and sweets.

Portions were very large. Food was great for the exception of our French fries. They were soggy and cold.

Was told to be there for pickup at a certain time and didn't see a single person at the register until about 20 minutes later. Got home with it and realized that there was still food missing, and just about everything was cold. Aside from the service, their burger still tasted pretty good.

Ordered fish and chips but the fish was very dry. So much that we couldn’t eat it all. Probably wouldn’t order fish again. Very disappointed.

On the site it was suppose to open for 11 and didn’t open till 1....Got our food Hubby’s food was hot and my daughter’s and I was cold..,didn’t ask if we wanted pop in glass or can..Smelled like an old smell..Lady was not very polite..Been their before and had Great Service and Food,but it has gone downhill..

Went for supper with my grandparents, excellent staff! Food portions were amazing for the price definitely getting what you pay for! Everything we asked for they provided, couldn’t have asked for a better experience!!
