Restaurant La Buche
We got there around 10:30am and it was very busy. Most people on the line had reservations - I highly recommend booking a table. We didn't have a reservation and waited around 30 minutes. Service was really good - even though very busy, still friendly and attentive), the food was amazing. Ambience - Quebecois decoration, music, the stone walls and the toilettes (with the faucets on the bathtub) made this whole experience great. We shared the Sugar shack breakfast (on the metal tray) and the chicken waffle. The chicken waffle was the best we've ever had (Chicken slightly spicy, balancing the sweet sauce, good quality waffle). On the breakfast tray the highlights were the amazing candied bacon, meat croquette, beans and the crepe with blueberries (among other things).We left around noon and there was a huge line on the sidewalk.

I had the house poutine with beef as the topping and Le Don cocktail. The food was great, service was great, and cocktail was great! The environment also reminds one strongly of a sugar shack, and if that weren’t enough I was surprised with a complimentary appetizer platter of traditional sugar shack snacks! The price is the price, so you can look at the menu ahead of time to decide if this place is for you. Personally, I felt it was reasonable :)

La Buche is a must when you come to Quebec. We got to come here on our tour. All of their food was phenomenal.The pea soup was my favorite entree. This should definitely be ordered. The shepard pie was really good too. Taffy on the snow was most good. This place is well worth it, and I'm excited it was on our food tour.

I came here leaving Quebec and was impressed! The service was nice and the waiter was nice. I got my food very quick too! The food was very very nice and the whole place looked really great. The bathroom was cool, if you go, check it out. Overall an insanely fun experience.

One of the best brunch I’ve had in a long time. I really loved this place. Although we didn’t have reservations, we were seated in less than 10 minutes. We came on a Monday and it was pretty packed. This place has a Great atmosphere and decor. Our server was amazing!! We ordered rabbit wings (as recommended by our server) they were delicious. We also ordered their chicken and waffles - full of flavor. The prices were reasonable and well worth it. If you're in Quebec City, book yourself a nice dinner at La Buche, I Definitely recommend it.

My family and I enjoyed a satisfying Sunday brunch at La Buche. The restaurant features an extensive menu of authentic French Canadian dishes. I ordered the “Grandmothers Omelette”, loaded with mushrooms, and complemented by smoked cheddar and green onions. It was well made and just what I was craving. The beans and sausage, ordered separately, were also delicious as was the homemade rhubarb jam which accompanied the toast. The potatoes were of the standard deep fried variety but tasty nonetheless. We sat on the shaded patio to enjoy the sunny summer weather, and the interior of the restaurant was also inviting, styled as a traditional sugar shack with stone walls and colourful sleds attached to the ceiling. Reservations are recommended if you wish to avoid the long line-ups. Recommended.

Great atmosphere and very cosy. Excellent customer service. The food wasn't really up to our taste which doesn't mean it was not good. We ate there twice and I preferred breakfast over lunch. Portions are generous.

Absolutely tremendous! From the moment we walked in, the entire staff took care of us. My limited French was easily understood and I ended up ordering my wife's meal and mine in French. Leo, our waiter, was both exceptionally professional, but also humorous and fun. I felt like I was in a medieval (or D&D) tavern, well, for brunch. The food was plentiful and delicious. If you miss this place, you have not visited Quebec City.

Very much wanted to give 5 stars. I ordered the sweet crepes with fresh fruits. Maybe it's my fault for assuming that was plural? It came with just blueberries.Service was very good, and the atmosphere was great. I would definitely go back and try again at this place.
