ITALIA: A Taste of Italy
We were visiting from out of town and this restaurant was beside our hotel. The staff was friendly, polite and very accommodating. The food was delicious.We had a table of 5, two of us weren’t very hungry so we shared the special. We asked for a second plate and they ended up splitting the meal for us! They were amazing, we were all so impressed with the entire experience. Thank you so much for such a wonderful dining experience and for going above and beyond for us! We will definitely be back!

The food was good. Not phenomenal Italian food, but it was flavourful.We had a big group and they accommodated us very nicely. There was only 1 waiter for the 15 of us so I feel bad for writing the service was slower but it wasn’t a busy night and it felt like could’ve had more staff availableAnother thing. There are basically no vegetarian options. Just 1 salad and a risotto. I had to ask to change the meal.The flatbread bruschetta was my least favourite part of the meal

The service wasn't too bad however given that we were 1 of 4 tables in the restaurant it was rather hard to flag down our server.The food prices were fairly steep especially for a restaurant in a casino and for what you get definitely not worth the cost. They were having a 50% off deal when we went but we weren't informed of the fine print until after our meal (this is partially our fault should have asked but should also have been told up front imo).The steak was done really well and the spice and seasonings were really tasty. The macaroni looked pretty but was kinda bland and tasted like it was watered down. All the flavor was on the surface where the cheese was and wasn't saucy at all underneath. The Brussel sprouts were under cooked and really bitter. The bannock dish was really good however there was the smallest scoop of ice cream to bannock ratio which was very unfortunate.

We came because of the outstanding sax player who made our visit very special. The ambiance created by the decor of the restaurant is second to none. There are quiet rooms and a large back area for bigger groups. The sea food linguini and caprese salad were so very good. We also had the prawns and chicken skewers as an appetizer and these were accompanied by the best focaccia bread! Topped off by Italian red wine and gelato, this was a spectacular dinner. Service by Amanda was outstanding. And the saxophone music made this night very very special. We will come again especially because of this talented musician.

We received amazing service when we came for dinner a few weeks ago. Our server was very polite and quick to refill drinks and check in on us without disrupting our meal. The restaurant has a great atmosphere and provides a quiet refuge from the sounds of casino games.The menu is diverse and has something for everyone. The only drawback is value though it's kind of to be expected for a restaurant within a hotel casino. We ordered the scallops, bison sliders and bison meatloaf. The scallops were an appetizer and came in at $20. Three quarter-sized scallops arrived on a huge cloud of risotto. The size and quantity of the scallops hardly warranted the price tag but were delicious nonetheless. I found the sliders to be on the drier side but my boyfriend really enjoyed them. The meatloaf was very good and the potatoes and roasted vegetables it came with were really yummy.We would come back to SC next time we're at the River Cree.

Busy place because of pre-show crowd- food came out fast, was very good and a shout out to our server Johnny- super fast, patient with our various sharing requests and he split up our bills which I know is a pain. He was in the weeds but provided great service so kudos to him. The live music was a nice touch and really good. Also the Auntie menu was great for little bites for those of us who didn't want a full meal.

The atmosphere is nice this place to have dinner and drinks. They have a special menu aside from the main one. The lobster ravioli is good and prime rib done perfectly paired with potatoes and broccolini. The sea bass was moist and prawns are a decent size.

This place is darn fine.The service here was second to none. Johnny is the star of the show around here. Attentive but not pushy or bothersome. He is there to make your dining experience the bomb. From wine to pasta sauce recommendations he’s got you covered.The food is worth the trip. We had the carpaccio, seafood pasta, and lasagna. All of the were great but the lasagna was the clincher here. Get the lasagna. Really great stuff. Do it, just do it. Do it.Get you and your other half out here and have a nice dinner…and ask for Johnny.
