I have had my home and auto policies through Newman Insurance for many years and have always been reasonably satisfied with their service and the rates they were able to obtain for me. Recently when my home insurance policy came up for renewal, there was an unexplained rate increase of 100%. When I called my representative Shelby about it, she was very helpful in resolving the issue before any new payments were made on the renewed policy.

I moved to Ontario recently and had to change over my car and home insurance (I did not want to stay with my previous provider). The response time has been great from Tim C., he was very helpful and patient as there were many steps involved for an out-of-provincer that we painfully had to go though. The prices are much better than what I previously had and I am so so looking forward to not having to sit on the line waiting to talk to an insurance representative for 4 hours to change something/obtain driving records on my policy. Good job Tim! Thanks for making the purchase of insurance a tolerable process.One learning experience I/we had - OHIP, registration and drivers license are from three separate providers - complete drivers licence, then registration and wait until you have your drivers licence to get OHIP (110 Laurier). The process was very confusing as you need to provide an Ontario drivers license to get insurance but you can't get insurance without a Drivers license - eventually I could get a temporary insurance and provided my drivers license number to Tim that day.

We have been a client for several years now. They have been very helpful with policy changes and claims over the years. It's so nice to deal with the same friendly people when you need to make changes. Highly recommended.

Stay AWAAAAAY! Although my representative Peter Harrison had been great the Newman family who I had a commercial policy with was dreadful. the owner of the company who was senior admitted to being on his way to retirement and wanting to end on a good note. After 2 yrs of paying monthly insurance dues, He was honest and fair enough to admit to a administrative error with full willingness to settle. His son immediately took over after seeing the amount of the claim, disqualified the claim over false allegations and refused to take any calls thereafter informing us that they were discontinuing our policy. As a small business, Newman & associates assumed we would not follow through legally. However the HVAC technician they accused of malpractice may have felt otherwise. BEWARE of ensuring your claims are honoured. Newman is happy to take your payments but not so sure if they will honour your claims.

That is unheard of. They find us great rates. I have had to deal with a claim and it was very well handled. I highly recommend this company.
