Two stars only for the gorgeous view on patio. It was toooooo slow for food 20-30mins, maybe it was Sunday. Food is not better than frozen food. I found scallops and shrimp in lobster and crab roll. Service? I don’t want to be mean to server. Generally, service was not good.

Overall experience was great and very relaxing. Beautiful views and friendly service but didn't get utensils until after the food was served. Calamari and caesar salad were tasty but the main dish disappointing. We ordered the Special, Curry Short Rib with Rice and Naan Bread. Never got the Naan Bread but server rectified accordingly. The rib was cooked well, but the curry sauce unpleasantly drowned the rib and the brown rice. Sauce did not taste good (powdery curry taste or like it was out of a jar). Poor presentation. Not worth the money. Will be back but won't order this dish again.

Had a wonderful birthday dinner. The view of the bay from the outside patio was stunning. The service and the food was impeccable. Would highly recommend if you're in the Thornbury/Meaford area. Can't wait to go back.

The Bistro at Lora Bay
Lora Bay is situated on lovely spot along the Georgian Bay. The grill has great views of the water and offers a fantastic atmosphere for dining. The service was lovely and the food was just wonderful... If you happen to visit on a day where they are serving a seafood special, you're in for a treat! I had the mussels and shrimp and the sauce was just heavenly. A definite recommendation!

Booked reservations for a birthday celebration Sunday evening, mid summer. Expected a great food experience. Very disappointed- basic salad, poke bowl not available, the ramen bowl was mediocre. Outdoor tables weren’t clean- we had to request they wipe the table. No bar tender for mixed drinks.The 2 young women servers were lovely.We will not be back unless there are significant changes to the kitchen.

Great view of the golf course and Georgian Bay (if you can dine outside weather permitting). We were slightly disappointed on the food front. We ordered 4 mains:Crispy chicken burger - solid 8/10, could use some additional toppings or topping options.Calamari - tasty, dry/just right (not overly oily as you would find some to be), but lacking value (dish was very small for a main, and for the cost).Pasta special was a turkey bolognese - it was alright, a little underwhelming; however a good portion size.Veggie options lacking - we had the med veg stack, a couple pieces of portobello, 1 slice of eggplant, 1 slice of zuchhini... Wouldn't recommend.On the upside, had great service and a lovely rose. We would most definitely come back here for drinks and the view.

Great location staring over the 18th hole and the water.Be patient. The food service is slow. Enjoy the view!I ordered a Cesar wrap and kettle chips.The wrap was good although the chicken was skimpy.The kettle chips were not edible.They were so stale they could not be chewed.I mentioned something to my server only so they don't give them to anyone else. Although he said he would take something off my bill he did not. This is very much a local place.

I went to a catered event so I can't speak about service during regular hours and in season. The space is gorgeous and very welcoming. The food was amazing! The space is large but you still feel comfortable and you can engage in conversation with the people around you. Nice views of the golf course. Highly recommended for any type of event.

Went for dinner and we all really enjoyed our food. The salmon with crispy potatoes was one of the best restaurant meals I’ve had in awhile. Fish and chips were great, though both who had it said the coleslaw could be improved. Fettuccine with shrimp was delicious but could have been a larger portion. Impeccable service from the friendly and welcoming staff. Also great views of the water from our table. Will definitely eat here again.Note that it is new management and staff this season.

I was referred by a friend. I’m happy I listened and reserved a table. Food is great. Noah was our server and he was awesome as well. The view is so beautiful and I shared a couple pictures to see. Go ahead and enjoy this place for yourselves.
