Toronto Business Development Centre

Impossible to make contact with. By way of referral, I've been attempting to email (without any replies) and call (no answer + mailbox full) for the last eleven days. Their Facebook page admin claims the business is still open, but that doesn't appear to be the case.

What should I say first?: I had an amazing experience during the incubation period at TDBC in 2007-2008. Since then, I was able to start my own business and here I am on my feet ten years after. I was just an immigrant coming from another country, looking for jobs here and there, but not anymore. If an alien from Mars made it, you should try out too. Those teachers and specialists at TDBC were very friendly and provided a lot of expertise even from their own experiences. Thank you very much!

I used the Business Development Centre in 2014.At the time there was an error while processing my sole proprietorship-as a result it was processed twice with 2 separate numbers.900188747900188749I contacted the Business Centre immediately when this happened & they said they would fix this error & refund one of the registration fees.Weeks passed with no corrections-I called again...months go by-now they tell me that because it wasn't corrected sooner I don't qualify for the refund.I can't tell you the number of times I contacted them within that first few weeks & months-I asked for the person or manager in charge & she abruptly informed me that the time lapse was the issue.As I contacted them immediately when this happened I can only say that the only time lapse was on their end.Consequently, I was not satisfied & have never recommended their service.I have since advised people to go directly to the government website to register, which I have subsequently done.I have never written a rotten review as I have owned my own business for years and realize that it is harmful to the business owners reputation.Shame on you Business Development Centre-it's often confusing & costly to start up a business venture. I for one really couldn't afford the double fee.I hope you take note of this review & strive to treat your customers with respect & at least follow through with any complaints or concerns to better support your customers who are venturing into the world of self employment.With disappointment in your customer service & my extra contribution to your own business operating capital,Susan Munro
