Akin - Smarter living in the heart of Kelowna

Amazing new building where we have been living since Oct 2021. The build-quality on the apartments is really good and materials are both durable and great looking. The building management is very accommodating and helpful and even plans events from time to time. We recently had a food truck come to the building with all menu items paid for by the building, so tenants would eat for free.In addition to this, the amenity rooms are amazing (one on each floor!); we've used the movie theatre multiple times.The management also takes suggestions seriously and constantly try to improve their services.The views from our apartment are spectacular on account of 8 surrounding windows in total!Love living here!

My dog and I love living here. Location is perfect for me being close to downtown, work, a dog park, the lake, shopping.Amenities are awesome and I appreciate the security. Diana has been great! maintenance staff handle requests quickly. Overall, it’s #1 of the 5 buildings that I’ve lived in

I just recently moved in April 2022 and am so impressed! The building is extremely well kept and well built. The security and fob systems in the building are great to have, especially living downtown. Location is great and close to downtown (10 minute walk) and just off Harvey which is close to so many amenities. The building amenities are exactly as advertised if not better. Best part of this building is it is extremely pet friendly. The units are well finished and look exactly as shown in the pictures on the website. I signed my lease without viewing the unit which is always scary however, it did not disappoint. Lastly, the building manager (Diana) is very on top of things and organizing fun things for the building (such as food trucks etc.). Very happy to be living here!

The building is honestly lovely, there are dogs everywhere which is such a plus for me it’s so hard to find a pet friendly spot in town! Diana made the application and renting process so easy for us and the building maintenance is always being covered it’s always clean and always feels like a safe place. If I had a complaint sometimes I feel like getting a response is sometimes delayed but with so many residents and little things to take care of it’s understandable! The location is great the units are beautiful and you can literally walk to the downtown core but you’re far enough away from any trouble! Overall we are absolutely loving it!

We have lived at Akin since Oct 2022 and we love it. Diana the property manager and Steve the maintenance person are always on top of things to make sure that the residents and the building is looked after. The building is also always exceptionally clean. The amenity rooms are an added bonus and great to have friends and family over for games night or a get together. I would recommend living here to anyone.

I’ve lived at Akin for almost a year now! The building is vibrant and full of great people who are very friendly. The security is top notch and have had no issues with unwanted visitors. Tons of amenities including a dog wash station, dog run, games room, business meeting room and a gym with peloton bikes. Diana the manager is very responsive to all needs and she goes out of her way to be a friendly face around the building that everyone recognizes, she even decorates for special occasions and has fun days during the month with food trucks etc. She loves to promote a sense of community. The best part of Akin living is they allow pets!!!

When I first moved in the building was brand new. It was a very nice place to live. Especially if you’re into the busy downtown scene.Diana the property manager has created a very toxic environment where you don’t feel safe. She’s very confrontational if you try and talk about any issues you’re having.If you’re in her favorites group it’s actually a comfortable place to live.

Still rating Akin a TEN since writing this review a year ago!Ever wish you could live in a Hilton, Marriott, or the Fairmont? The amenities and decor at Akin have a hotel vibe. Comfortable new suites, friendly neighbours, on-site management team, clean and well maintained entertainment/amenities spaces on every floor, safe & secure building, amazing views...and Downtown Kelowna and the lake close by. Everything about Akin is a ten. I moved in Feb 2022, viewing a dozen other rentals nearby...paid maybe five percent more than the average rate for a one bedroom suite but received so much more value in return. Love coming home to my place, right from the secure heated underground parkade to the hotel-like hallway leading to my front door.

Akin is by far the best apartment building I have ever lived in...and I have lived in many buildings in Canada and the US...the building is beautiful - very clean, modern units and lots of conveniences that you would not find in many buildings. The staff are very friendly and super responsive. You are minutes away from the lake, shopping and downtown restaurants. I have about a 10 minute walk to my doctor's, dentist and hairdresser. Plus they have partnered with an amazing car sharing program - and two cars are parked right at the building! Plus the views from the building are gorgeous! And a very dog friendly building...I absolutely love it here!

Beautiful place to live. They allow pets which is really nice. They have awesome amenities and there is a gorgeous view. The units are well built and very modern. Feels like a nice home
