MainStay Suites Winnipeg

I’ve stayed here many times for business and it just seems to be getting worse. Last stay our room didn’t even have curtains for nighttime privacy. The front desk manager was going to clip a blanket over the window! We asked for a new room which they finally gave us. The hotel in under renovations so it’s quite chaotic. I would not stay there again.

We had a great time in the Mainstay hotel! Rooms are big and nice! Everything worked properly! I liked that we had kitchen in the room and I could cook. Want to say thanks to each of staff in the hotel, specially to Meg! He always was so helpful, smiling, greeting everytime.Thank you!

The room we were given was terrible. There was bodily fluids on many of the surfaces such as the walls, lampshades, lamp surfaces, tables, shelving and bathtub. There were cigarette stains on the bathtub and it reeked like cigarette smoke although it is a non-smoking building. We did not see any bedbugs but now I am incredibly worried as I have since seen reviews that there indeed has been bedbugs in the past. If we had not gotten to the city late, I would have asked for a full refund and left. Their only saving grace was a very clean dining area for the continental breakfast and 24 hour security watching our vehicle. I contacted head office and they tried to give me points towards my next stay. Nope. At $200 a night, I want a refund. They gave me 1/2 my money back. So disappointing. I will never stay there again. That’s two hotels now in the airport area that have filthy rooms. Yeesh.
