The Cobbler Shoe Store

Was the only place in town I could get CSA certified Blundstones. The staff were always very helpful and took time to stretch my boots to help with breaking them in.

Absolutely the best inventory and staff in the city when it comes to buying footwear.

The customer service at The Cobbler is above and beyond. I had such a lovely experience in this store. The staff were not only knowledgeable about shoes but clearly very eager to help me find what I was looking for and leave happy.

Such an amazing local store. Their selection is great, and the shoes are REAL SHOES. It’s so hard to find true leather footwear anymore. I came here because a friend worked sales with them and sounds like they’re an good employer. They’re also super trans and queer friendly which is SO important for me. And not just in a performative way, they actually have trans and queer staff that make me feel so welcomed.

I wanted to add to my 5 Star rating for The Cobbler. I was on the Hunt for Blundstones, went to various other stores first but was very glad I waited to purchase from The Cobbler. Talk about excellent customer service, and creating a very welcoming environment. I can see myself adding this store to one of my favourites largely due to the staff and their professionalism. Oh yeah there is also one of the best selections in town.....

Our experience at the Cobbler was almost wonderful. Going well till a woman in my group asked to use their bathroom. Fyi - they don't allow customers to use their bathroom. The clerk directed her to the nearest public bathroom

This was my first time visiting this store, and before going, I read some of the other reviews here. Almost all of them were positive, but there are a few negative ones too. For what it's worth, the staff were very knowledgable and did not pressure me into a sale at all, the selection was excellent, and I walked away having paid less than I was expecting for a pair of quality shoes.I'm not sure who leaves a one star review because there isn't a public bathroom in a small retail store (?) or because the store was following the provincial health guidelines at the time (??) - if anything, an employer that looks out for the health of its employees and customers makes me support it more, not less.But anyway, those people exist. All I would say is that if you, like me, are a fairly average and unremarkable person who just wants to buy a pair of decent shoes so you can wear them to do all the things you love doing in your daily life, this is a great spot, and I'll be back again. On the other hand, if you are the remarkable type of person who enjoys bashing out 1 star reviews from your basement, probably best to go somewhere else.

Jane was the most helpful salesperson. She thought of everything I might need to know, and helped with how the fit of the shoes would feel. This also seemed like the level of customer service all the employees offered. Would recommend to everyone!
