Dean's Auto Care - Magnetawan

This is going to be a weird review as I was at the location for something completely different. While I was there I saw Dean spring into action. He looked like he genuinely cares about his customers. And the place looked clean and organized. The dogs are super friendly too.

Dean is such a great person. He really makes you feel valued and takes good care of your vehicle. Allison is so kind and understanding. I would highly recommend for any of your vehicle needs. We will definitely be using his services again! Just wanted to add yet again thank you for your amazing service!

Mechanic's shortcut cost me $4,200. In August 2020, I took my Chev Silverado to Dean's Auto Care in Sundridge as it was leaking transmission fluid. I look after my vehicles and had used the company before. I paid for new transmission lines, clamps and fluid as noted on the invoice along with the labour to replace" the transmission lines. I recently had an issue with my car dying at the side of the road. With Covid, CAA policy is that tow truck drivers do not take passengers. Dean's offered to pick me up and get me home. They assessed the problem quickly even though it was snow tire season". The part I needed arrived quickly. My vehicle is still under warranty but I was not able to get to a dealership. They insured I had all the info I needed to be reimbursed by calling Nissan. The people at Dean's are an amazing group of professionals who honestly care about their customers. I highly recommend them!"

I had the misfortune of finding myself with a truck that needed to be brought into a mechanic shop. Broken down in Magnetwan and Without many mechanics around to choose from my brother and I decided on deans auto. the truck was diagnosed as a streached timming chain in the engine. We were quoted $2,400.00 on a hand writen note which didn't have any list of parts included or the scope of work, when we asked him to produce a formal quote he said the list of parts was 17 pages so he didnt want to bother with it. When we asked again we recived 2 peices of paper (not 17) which where clearly cut from a regular size printer paper to a quarter of its size. Clearly what ever was on the rest of that paper he did not want us to see. we called around and confirmed that the price of the labour was fair However, the parts where a little steep. On the parts list he left the prices on we totaled it up to be $770.00 after tax when the writen quote said 9 something for parts. We where ok with the mark up and we said go ahead because no other shop was available in the area. Fast forward 3 days we get a call from dean saying our truck is FIXED and that we can come pick it up however there was a bit of a noise coming from the engine still. We get there and the same problem that was supposed to be fixed was worse. We voiced our frustration however kept our cool until, dean himself started yelling at us for us being upset about our truck not being fixed told us to get the F**** off our property he didn't want any money. We left and the truck actually did feel a little better so we went back paid him $1800.00 to cover cost. Not 5 km down the road the truck that deans auto stood behind and said was fixed stalled out and had an engine light come on. Needless to say i got my money back and towing our truck to a mechanic that can actually fix the truck. Please do not make the same mistake my brother's truck is now worse than when we took it in.

We had some troubles with our car on a Sunday morning, unable to head back to Toronto. We called Dean, he accepted to drive 30km to open his garage for us, and fix our car. He saved us, with both professional skills and good heart. The service was perfect, irreproachable. I highly recommend Dean’s garage!

Dustin was able to get to the bottom of our issues with our Jeep, every light on the dash was on, had had at a different garage (place we purchased it) and they could never get to the bottom of it all. Dustin found all the problems couldn't be happier!!

Patched my tire last minute and saved me from being stranded. Friendly staff and was a good price
