Key Language Training

I just finished the Mandarin M1 class with Angel Yuan (苑) and enjoyed every bit of it. This is the beginner class, where we started with zero knowledge of the language.In a short 5 weeks, and with Angel's patience and great teaching style, I'm now able to:- have a beginner level conversation- understand the tones, and know where my tones are right or wrong- read and understand Pinyin writing of the words I know- and most importantly, to learn new words and sentences on my own, and add to my vocabulary, as I've got the basics out of the way.I highly recommend Angel Yuan (苑) as a teacher, if you're looking to learn this beautiful language right the first time.

Given Mandarin was my fourth language it was little challenging to learn but Angel has made it possible for me to learn common words or phrases to hold basic conversation with people. Angel is very enthusiastic, professional and has very good command over English. She is friendly and always make sure everyone is feeling comfortable in class. It was a fantastic learning experience and I would definitely recommend her as she is a great teacher for learning Mandarin.

Angel Yuan is our teacher at Key Language. To catch up with group classes that had already started I had two one-on-one lessons, then joined the class. It was obvious from the first one-on-one session that she was a first class teacher.Angel standards are high, it reflects in the level of teaching! With a high competency in English, this transfers into making the Mandarin relevant for day to day use.The material from Key Language is detailed on the structure of the language, good vocabulary, and relevant exercises that push you, and enable you to bring together what is being taught in each module.Angel is an enthusiastic teacher, personable, patient, and thorough.I have come to realize that learning Chinese requires hard work, but it is not hard to learn!This 5 star review is fully earned, and justified.

Had a great experience with my M1 class. Angel Yuan is a dedicated and warm teacher. She knows how to explain things well and cares for every member of the class to make sure everyone catch up the lessons. I decided to continue my Mandarin learning journey mostly due to Angel.

I took the first module of group beginner Mandarin course at Richmond location and had a great experience. Ms. Angel Yuan is an amazing teacher. Friendly, energetic, and highly dedicated. As a complete beginner to Mandarin, I feel fortunate to have met such a patient and understanding teacher. The curriculum for beginner’s course is well thought-out and gives you a good grasp of basic Mandarin. I just finished the M1 introductory Mandarin course and I found the experience to be the best Mandarin lessons I've found (I've tried other schools in the area).
