Beautiful and quaint. The owners Lori and Chris were so thoughtful and attentive. Beautiful period home with lots of characters, the rooms are well appointed, impeccably clean and comfortable. Chris and Lori really put attention to the little details and go above and beyond to get to know you. Everything from the fresh linens, flowers, crisp towels, generous bowl of snacks and the breakfast make this place a must stay. There’s an eye for detail and I appreciate it. Also Lori’s moms jams are the best.

We two couples stayed June 13th at the beautiful Rosedale Manor B&B run by Chris and Lori. The large bedrooms are tastefully decorated with: paintings all created by our host, Chris Newhook, freshly cut flowers, special antiques, and very comfortable beds covered with beautiful quilts. The bathrooms come with fresh clean towels and special toiletries. As well, Lori and Chris provided each guest with water and a free bunch of snacks/goodies in their rooms. The sitting and dining rooms were equally decorated at the same level. The breakfasts come with freshly baked croissants, muffins and egg cups, as well as jams , tea, coffee and fruit. They went all out to provide lactose free products for me.We were not only impressed with Chris’ art in each room but the carefully written museum like notes beside each piece of art.Chris works for Parks Canada and has lots of local information to provide his guests. This place is a a very special top-notch B&B! We just wished we had stayed longer.Jane & Gaston, Brenda and Mike

Great place with lots of amenities! Old world charm with modern conveniences. Stayed in the Rose Room, beautiful view of the water and the garden, so tranquil. Separate shower room with vanity and bathroom with toilet off the bedroom, separate living room with dining table. Stayed in the Fall for a conference, continental breakfast included was abundant with homemade items such as jams and muffin. The kitchenette was cute and functional with lots of dishes and options for comfort. The fridge was stocked with fresh milk and gourmet coffee. One star less as the walls are thin but it didn’t bother me at the time, great sleep. I would definitely stay again! Beautiful home.

Great, authentic bnb. Rooms are small but very comfortable, bed with cotton sheets and blankets. Very well located with great views of the water. Owners Linda and Phillip offer a superior breakfast at their restaurant just a short walk away. Espresso coffee, possibly the best cappuccino I've ever had and I've had them all over the world. Definitely recommend this place as well as the Three Sisters' pub a few doors down.

Will return! We had a reservation to stay here but they closed up the inn for end of season before we arrived (Thanksgiving). It was a surprise but we were still treated like kings!! Phillip put us up in a beautiful suite above his Cafe. The room was so comfortable - the nicest place we stayed in our 5 stop trip. And, we had the restaurant all to ourselves in the morning. Thanks for everything Philip! The tourist stops and hikes you recommended were top notch.

Very clean and lovely room. They suppy cake and tea/coffee in the dining room whenever you want to help yourself. It's a short walk to the local pub and into town. A nice place to stay. The room was a bit too small for us to store our luggage.

Beautiful old period home with lovely outdoor garden situated on waterfront drive. Very clean rooms, comfortable bed and lovely patchwork quilt. Loved the shower in the Osprey room. No AC, but fan provided. Also included a delicious breakfast. Only minutes away from Star of the Sea hall.

Lovely spot! Quaint old house, comfortable room, and a beautiful view of the water and the English garden out front. Linda is very gracious and welcoming, and breakfast at Phillip's Cafe was delightful. I thoroughly enjoyed my stay.

To say that our room was well appointed is an understatement. Chris and Lori have considered practically every detail in their property to make guests feel welcome. For example, they have night lights in multiple rooms, they provide bars of handmade soap in case you prefer that to the liquid soap provided, they have little packs of tissues, snacks, water, and more!We stayed in the Lupine suite upstairs and it was both spacious and functional. The manor has been recently renovated, and they did a very good job with it. Our room was quiet, and there was good ventilation with the windows open at night. The included breakfast is better than what you can get almost anywhere, and it's very generous as well. Plus, some of the items are handmade like the jam and the mini quiches. The artwork, which beautifully accents the rooms, are all done by Chris, which is really impressive. Also, Chris has a wealth of knowledge to share because of his job, and Lori grew up in town. They will go out of their way to answer any questions that you might have about the area (eg., which way does the water flow through The Gut?). They believe in getting to know their guests, and you should give them a chance.Lastly, there are many amenities on site: there is a beautiful garden out front, a library and sitting room as you enter, and a dining area which is open all day with a kettle. My only regret was not staying more than a night. We will be back, hopefully before too long!

Rosedale Manor is a class act. Room, house, breakfast, location is first rate. Room is clean, newly renovated and very comfortable. Breakfast is all homemade from the bread and jam to the muffins. Also eggs, oj, and coffee. Christopher is helpful with suggestions and very knowledgeable of the town and it's history.I highly recommend staying here if in the area.
