I have had two lawyers from Hamilton Fabbro and had nothing but excellent experiences. More recently Ms. Hailey Graham was my counsel in Supreme Court trial. She is a responsive, intelligent, knowledgeable lawyer and has an amazing ability in balancing professional and relational practice. Stephanie is a great mediator.I just went through a difficult separation and we used Stephanie to attempt mediation. She talked to the two of us separately to understand our point of view, our starting points and our areas of concern when trying to find an agreement.When all together we worked out the issues that were amicable. When we hit a contentious topic, she did not allow us to bicker and separated us to discuss the matter with each of us individually and come to a compromise without an argument.We came to a signed settlement within 3 months of separation. I feel the process found a fair compromise within a very short time frame and avoided the costs and stresses of going to court.All in all I would recommend Stephanie as an effective mediator and I am very happy she was able to help us through such a difficult process.

I second Lana’s opinion. If you want someone who is effective, you should contact Hailey Graham at Hamilton Fabbro. Hailey performs beyond her year of call, she is incredibly hardworking, her fees are reasonable, and she seems to really care about her clients.

I'd suggest not engaging Anna Silver as your divorce lawyer. She did not act in her client's best interest which led to unnecessary confusion and expense, and ultimately an Agreement that included discrepancies and unequal terms between the parents. We made the mistake of only requesting a 2nd opinion after signing and were shocked by the advice, but it was too late for us. If Anna Silver is your lawyer make sure to not make the same mistake seek independent review before signing.

I attended one day of mediation using Stephanie Fabbro as the mediator (total cost for prep and one day was ~$9000 in just mediation costs) and the matter did not settle. Her bill rate of $550/hr+GST/PST is quite steep for the level of service provided. Like all family law and the lawyers that work in this self serving and predatory industry they exploit and benefit on the misfortune of others by charging completely unjustifiable bill rates for their minimalist services. My largest complaint would be at this exorbitantly high bill rate that she would take the time to improve her Microsoft Excel skills. Inexpensive courses are available to improve this skill. We spent half the mediation time watching her fumble through the simplest of excel functions. As I have found with most lawyers efficiency is not a word that enters into their minds and why would it when their customers are atm's dispensing $20 bills by the minute. If one truly wants to be the best and bill accordingly than it should be expected that the areas of their practice that they are weak in should be continuously worked on to be improved.She is a knowledge lawyer and a fine mediator but I have given a 2 star rating as I don't feel as though the bill rate justifies the quality/level of the service provided.

Daylyn Miller is an excellent advocate who is able to address very difficult issues while aiming to diffuse in-coming conflict to effectively negotiate solutions. I came to her with a very complex set of issues, incl: Medical & Special Needs of children; Safety issues due to family violence, our need for Relocation; Financial & of course, completion of my Divorce. She listened carefully to our unique needs & strategically created a plan to resolve each issue & secure the detailed orders needed going forward. She is strong, intelligent, organized, an excellent communicator, steady throughout & willing to stand firm and fight when necessary. She guided me along the way & taught me how to move through the legal matters most effectively, and she kept my own personal priorities at the forefront throughout. I came to her with an enormous list of difficult to achieve outcomes - and she delivered on every single issue!More than all of the above, Daylyn has treated me & my children with dignity, care, & tenacious defence of each of our needs & rights to access Medical & Special Needs services, as well as the increased well-being of a 'Parallel Parenting Plan' going forward.All of her colleagues were also great and kindly stepped in whenever needed with compassion and skill. I highly recommend Hamilton Fabbro in general & Daylyn in particular. She is all that is good in ‘lawyering’; and because of her efforts, my children & I are safer and more secure than I had dared to hope possible.
