I recently attended a Cocktail Master Class, where I learned how to craft signature and classic cocktails. It was fun, informative and light food pairings we're offered. I recommend it for anyone wanting to enjoy a nice afternoon learning something new. Afterwards, I stayed to enjoy more food and some wine during their Happy Hour (which they offer twice a day!) The menu offers a nice selection including vegetarian, vegan and gluten free options.I was impressed with the creativity of the food and the level of expertise and hospitality from the entire staff.  I've read some mixed reviews of this place, but I've got to say if you enjoy fresh local food, wine, cocktails or simply supporting local businesses in Victoria, this unassuming Wine Bar is the place to be.A fantastic addition to the Village! I will certainly be back :)

Good ambience, friendly servers. They have wine flights (pre selected) that included two red and one white. I highly recommend trying one of their wine flights. Their mussel + fried dish was just right, but their squid ink pasta was a bit garlicky. Overall, great place for a date / group gathering.

One of our faves! It's been tough on the restaurant industry overall but these guys have made it work. The new patio is amazing and the food and wine list is one of the overall best in town! There are flights (of wine) and a small, focused food menu. I love the steak frites with the compound butter! They often do wine events and tastings (during non covid times) that we always enjoy as well. Overall highly recommend - you can't go wrong here for a date night out.Edit (summer 2022): as great as ever!! Incredible ambiance, service and food! Continue to highly recommend!

It was a fantastic experience. The place is small and cozy, yet classy. Food is 10 out of 5 (i mean it!). Highly recommend their grilled zucchini. For the quality of food, I seriously think it is underadvertised. There was a delay with my order, and although we didn't make a fuss out of it, everyone went above and beyond to make it up for us. You don't always get that kind of service in fine dining places. So happy we found that gem! Definitely gonna be back next time we are in Victoria.

Happy Hour (4/5:30) best deal in town. 4 glasses of wine, two appetizers and one mixed charcuterie board $75!!! Basically dinner for two!!! Amazing ambiance , great service, premium wines.

Fun place nice atmosphere, friendly staff, and good food. I had a vanilla Porter, duck burger with haft fries and haft salad, it was really good. Fries came topped with a bit of cheese and a mayo type dip rather then a traditional ketchup which was good.

Very disappointing experience. I will say that our server was lovely, and did a good job, and the ambience is nice. . Appetizer (flatbread) was fine, though nothing exceptional. The “9 ounce” glass of wine was definitely not 9 ounces - I’d be surprised if it was even a full 5 ounces. I asked the server about it before ordering a second glass, but got the same small glass again - probably should have asked her to send the bartender over with a 1 ounce measure, but I didn’t feel like scrapping about it. The scallop risotto was terrible - honestly I’ve had better risotto from a grocery store package It was undercooked, and largely tasteless, though the 4 small scallops were well cooked. We definitely won’t be going back again - far too high a price point for such mediocre food.

The Collective Wine Bar & Kitchen is a true gem in Victoria's culinary scene, offering an exceptional dining experience for wine lovers and foodies alike. The restaurant's self-proclaimed title as Victoria's premier wine bar is well-deserved, with an impressive selection of over fifty wines that are sure to please any palate.During our recent visit, we came in for a late-night bite to eat and drinks after walking on the beach at Dallas Road. Our server Bryanna provided excellent recommendations, suggesting that we pair the Fine Cheese & Charcuterie board with the BC wine Flight, which proved to be a perfect choice, the Brut from Frind winery in the Okanagan was our favourite. The cheeses and meats were perfectly selected and presented, and the wine flight from BC enhanced the flavours of the food.Tip: If you enjoy Olives or Nuts with your charcuterie, consider adding them since they are omitted. The Roasted Bone Marrow was also a standout dish, with the perfectly cooked marrow melting in our mouths. The dish was rich and decadent, making for a perfect late-night indulgence. The music playing during our visit set the perfect ambience for an intimate date night, and the worldly selection of music only added to the overall experience.Overall, The Collective Wine Bar & Kitchen is a must-visit restaurant for anyone looking for a unique and unforgettable wine and food experience. The selection of wines is truly impressive, and the food is expertly prepared and presented. The service is attentive and knowledgeable, and the atmosphere is casually elegant and inviting. I highly recommend this restaurant to anyone looking for a great night out in Victoria.
