POWD changed my life for the better. I am not a typical person you would expect to find at a boxing gym. I am older and I am there fighting for (the quality of) my life because the training is like medicine for the symptoms of Parkinson’s Disease that plague me on a day to day basis...That alone keeps me coming back, but in addition, the camaraderie, diversity, inclusivity, and overall good will that I can count upon from coaches and athletes alike every night that I get myself there are such amazing benefits!! The coaches and everyone there are gifts to me. Nobody there is perfect. And nobody is expected to be perfect! Rather, everyone is expected to show up, do their best, help and respect one another and show respect for the space itself. The coaches work hard. They listen and they care. They are serious about what they are doing but good humour and fun are also at the heart of all that they have to offer. What more could anyone ask??

Been with this club for many years, and it is a family. The coaches are very boxing savvy, understand how to work with people of varying skill levels and experience. Aspiring fighters, this club will make the dog in you strong, and I highly recommend coming here to sharpen your skills and develop the warrior spirit. They have always been willing to work with you as a person, student, and professional. Nothing but love to the entire group, and can't wait to train again! POWD for life!!!

I cannot say enough good things about POWD. You don’t have to pursue boxing professionally to be a part of the club, you just have to put in effort and show up consistently. If you do, then I can guarantee you will learn more than just technique. All of the coaches are caring and extremely knowledgeable. If you ever have any concerns about your diet, workout, or body (like a pain or soreness) they’ll educate you about what it is and what you should do or refer you to a professional if they don’t know. POWD is a commitment; we are like a family here and we all push each other to be better than we were the day before. That being said, we also fight (literally) like siblings and we have a great time. I truly feel like I haven’t been this excited about working out in my life.

This is such a diverse club. Competitive fighters, people who want recreation and fitness, women and even kids. You can feel comfortable whatever your fitness level. The coaches will meet you at your level and give you the same attention as competitive fighters. The new location is amazing! All Covid protocols are followed and enforced.
