The doctor was very professional and caring, the environment was clean and well kept, the procedure was quick and basically pain free. However, I was late and apologized multiple times, I felt awful upon entry due to the fact that I was late and very nervous for the procedure. The brunette receptionist working that day made it worse. She was very short with me, did not say hello when I walked in or acknowledge my apologies. I felt like I was being pushed into rooms, I was confused and when I asked a question she raised her voice to answer in an irritated tone. I communicated to her that I was extremely anxious and apologized to her again, to which she only replied oh. " as she stood over me and watched me fill my forms. I couldn't make eye contact because all I felt was hostility towards me. I was extremely uncomfortable and almost in tears thinking that she may be the service provider but was relieved to see it was someone else. I unfortunately cried in the parking lot over this interaction after leaving.I understand that clients being late can be frustrating

I was very nervous going in I’m gonna be honestly I probably didn’t help myself but dr g said the pain should be very minimal after I asked for freezing and when I almost passed out she told me it was normal to have a lot more pain with pcos which I told her I had in the consult. I’m not upset it was painful I’m just a little frustrated she told me the pain wouldn’t be bad and then told me it was normal for it to be bad for people with my condition I would have honestly preferred to know it was gonna be horrible. And then she prescribed me some pain meds for the next couple days and I when I went to fill the prescription it was written to the wrong person so I couldn’t pick it up idk how that happens. Just a little bit frustrating

Let me start off by saying that Dr. Gerber is phenomenal. After having a horrible experience with my first IUD, I was so nervous and apprehensive. Dr. Gerber explained everything and made me feel so comfortable and at ease. And, compared to my first experience, besides some normal discomfort, the procedure was relatively pain-free.The reason for my rating being so low was the receptionist that was there the day of my appointment. When I walked in, I saw a sign that said, Please have a seat and wait to be called

my doctor referred me here to get an iud inserted due to some health issues that it would help with. they called me to schedule an consultation over the phone for oct 31st around 5 ish and they did warn me that it could be earlier or later within an hour or so. i had no plans so i let them know that it was fine. a few days later on oct 31st i heard nothing from the clinic despite waiting for a few hours since i understand that the doctor could be held up. life got in the way and i had some trips in nov so i didn’t get around to following up and seeing why i never received my phone call. eventually i call back and the receptionist states that the doctor did in fact call me and that i missed the appt, i explain that it wasn’t the case and that i can email some pictures of my phone records to show that i never got called. she says that the doctor is very organized and in fact, made a note that she called me at 6, and even confirmed my number. this didn’t happen but i was like whatever let’s just reschedule until she says that i will need to pay a 100$ fee to reschedule since i had “missed my appt”. when they reviewed my phone records, they simply said “we cant verify if that’s your phone records or someone else’s”. i ended up calling my doctor and getting a referral else where. its a little silly that they tried to get me to pay 100$ when they wasted my time and i essentially couldn’t receive healthcare until months later. please do better

I had nothing but a pleasant experience at this clinic. The receptionist was very polite and patient with my anxiety. Dr. Gerber was fantastic , the procedure barely hurt and when I felt ill after she made sure I was okay. Everything was thoroughly explainedI recommend this clinic if you want a comfortable, inclusive, safe space !

First of all, my appointment was at 10 and they make me wait for 30 mins. I have another appointment lined up so I’m kind of rush in time. Scheduling appointments is respecting patient s time. Regardless the wait time, the procedure itself was very painful and I left so uncomfortable and not happy with an medical students did perform on me, without telling me she gonna perform on me.I did a lot of research on IUD before come to this appointment. The procedure I did here is surprising painful and I bleed a lot during procedures. The doctor just briefly asked me if an intern can come to see, but I didn’t know she gonna perform on me. The doctor and the intern going back and forth and trying to correctly insert it, and the intern took so long to perform on me, make this process such a long time and painful. I had chills and a lot of pain and bleed a lot. It shouldn’t be this way, I never get a consent form signed saying a non doctor can perform on me. It’s totally bad experience.

Let me preface this by saying dr Gerber is amazing hence 3 stars instead of 1. However, appointment was 1 HOUR after my scheduled time, the receptionist I dealt with was fine but the other one was awful (young, curly red/brown hair). She caused a scene with another patient, she loudly said “don’t be aggressive with me, we figured it out, I don’t see what your problem is” yikes… he was annoyed but polite, never aggressive to her at any point. Also, she was giggling when you could hear a patient in the IUD clinic screaming in pain. Unacceptable.

She performed a pap and did not close the speculum before removing it. It was very painful. I have never in my entire life not had a physician close the device before removing it. I feel this was very unprofessional. Even when I said ouch" she continued without closing it."

This clinic recommends boron as a treatment for BV. They knew I have/had DCIS which is a hormonal cancer and should know that the cancer agency advises against this. I don’t see how they’re doing their due diligence I’m this case. Also my obstetrician was quite against this treatment.

Very painful and uncomfortable,First when i sat and waited for the Doctor in the patient room, right by the foot of the bed I noticed a garbage can full of used equipment covered in blood… like a lot of blood. I was already very nervous.doctor implied freezing was available, I 100% said yes.The procedure was incredibly awful. After the doctor informed me she didn’t use any freezing and didn’t know if the IUD was 100% in correctly so I would have to book an ultrasound.I’ve had an IUD once before provided by a different clinic, that time went smoothlyAnd I didn’t come out scared. The more and more conversations I have with women who have had an IUD the more I learn about how awful my experience was. Its not okay.
