My experience with Sunvale homes has been very good.I purchased my home in Collingwood in September of 2020, with a scheduled occupancy of September 2021. There was a delay of a couple of weeks which the builder gave me notice well in advance.I found the whole team extremely responsive and knowledgeable. My sales rep - Lisa was very helpful making choices and keeping me abreast of construction activities. I made a couple of changes to the layout which she was able to the initial layout which she was able to coordinate with designers.I did have an opportunity to work with Sunvale’s kitchen designer. She took my basic plan and provided me with some great suggestions which really improved the kitchen functionality!I’ve thoroughly enjoyed meeting with and dealing with the site crew and the Service Team. Sarah has been superb in providing me updates and addressing any questions I have surrounding the house. She responds to my questions quickly and thoroughly. Terry has also proven to be very accommodating. Living in a construction zone can have its challenges. Terry has gone out of his way to make life easy for me.I know nothing about construction. However, there are a couple people in my world who do. They have been very complimentary about the finishing of the house and the mechanics/construction. I will also add - the overall layout/functionality of this house is awesome - small, but big!I would absolutely purchase a home from Sunvale again. My experience seems to be the exception, not the norm. I’m lucky! One last thing - CAME IN ON BUDGET!Thanks Sunvale Homes.

A very lively social scene with good food and music

After spending many long months searching both the housing market and building companies unsuccessfully for a home that met all of our specific criteria, our family was fortunate to find Sunvale Homes. From our very first encounter in the Sales Office, we knew this was the company we wanted to build with. It was clear to us from the start that we were in very good hands. We appreciated the desirable and well thought out site map and floor plans; the variety of quality finishes, the progressive energy efficient systems in house design, and the extremely knowledgeable staff who never hesitated to offer assistance or answer our many questions. Having been through the process of purchasing and selling homes in the past, we were entering into new territory by purchasing a New Build in a new development. Despite being both nervous and excited, we put our trust in Suvale because of their stellar reputation for building homes of high quality. This decision proved to be extremely positive from start to finish, and in the years since moving into our home; we have been nothing short of highly satisfied with our Sunvale experience. We absolutely love our home and neighbourhood! Venturing into a project with as many moving parts and ever changing variables such as a new build can be stressful, but throughout the entire process of building our new home, the team at Sunvale demonstrated excellent communication and never failed to fulfill on our agreed upon terms. We would most definitely build with and/or purchase another Sunvale home in a heartbeat!

For some time I have contemplated a review of Sunvale. It's now time to share the good and unfortunately the not so good.First of all Sunvale is a great builder. The house itself has been built extremely well and we are very happy with the quality and design.The sales experience with the Sales Manager was really good and the Sales Manager was excellent to communicate with and pick interior finishes. We truly appreciate all the help and the excellent personable care.Our challenges have been with after sales Service. To resolve Tarion and other deficiencies, we find Service to be unresponsive and without care and commitment to homeowners. There is often no acknowledgement of emails, delays in getting matters resolved and a lack of ownership that is unacceptable and extremely disappointing.This has been discussed and shared with several other Sunvale owners, both in the neighborhood and at social gatherings in Town.In addition, when we were frustrated and at our wits end and copied a VP on an email, the response back from the VP was basically don't bother us, wait and we will get to your service issues when we can. That response was very upsetting and frustrating.So be prepared to wait, to not receive email replies, to not know what the status is of your repairs, to be frustrated, ignored and for service issues to not be resolved in a timely manner - as that has been our reality with Sunvale.June 2022 - Over the past month, or so we have experienced a much better level of Service from Sunvale. They have been working to improve their level of service and it is already making a difference, especially with timely communication.Our emails are being acknowledged immediately, action is being taken to address and resolve deficiencies in a timely and professional manner. We feel like our voice is being heard and the Service team is working along with us to understand our issues.Thank you Sunvale for listening and for responding in a positive manner. You have rebuilt our confidence and we are hopeful this will continue until the remaining items are fully resolved.

Home is nice and design options are good. Overall, really disappointed with some big items that were overpromised and under-delivered with no accountability or acknowledgment. It's left us in a very difficult spot to navigate plans with young children, let alone ensure their safety in our own backyard. We're unable to properly enjoy our backyard for several years to come... this is not what was promised at the time of sale or move in date. Feeling like it was a very bait & switch move with an original timeline of June 2021 being pushed to 2024.

Great experience. Quality was really good. I have previously purchased from large builders in the past and this was by far the best experience - especially in regard to quality and client service. I would definitely recommend Sunvale to everyone.
