Water's Edge Event Centre

The waters Edge event Centre did a splendid job of hosting our wedding on 4/24/2022Dana and Karen were professional and took great care of us.The hall was beautiful and the food was delicious.This is a great place to have a wedding if you are looking.

I was a July 2016 bride at The Water's Edge Event Centre and I think choosing that venue was the best decision we made during our wedding planning adventure! There is a LOT that goes on with wedding planning and tons of tiny details. Little bumps that inevitably come up on the big day. The bride and groom just want to know that they are taken care of. I would absolutely recommend this venue to my closest friends and family members because I know that Dana and her staff are amazing! And obviously, it is absolutely STUNNING in there!I loved having the ceremony and reception at the same venue. I was so taken with the traditional church feel" with all that gorgeous stained glass- absolutely perfect. We're a really big family and we had a huge wedding party

What a great place to have a Wedding Ceremony. I officiated a wedding here, and I must say, It was one of the best places I've been to officiate.

This venue is very beautiful. It was a phenomenal space, very vibrant artwork on the stained-glass windows, pleasing architecture, I couldn’t have asked for a better place to have my wedding. It’s an old, converted church, and because of this it was quite hot once we had all our guests inside. They had air conditioning, but it was a bit under-powered once the wedding got under way. I would be cautious about doing a wedding in the middle of the summer. Because of the venues natural beauty, we did not feel we had to decorate as heavily, and it still looked amazing. Other than the heat, I do not have anything bad to say about the building.However, dealing with the owner of the space is what is negatively impacting this review. I suppose there may always be an asterisk on this review because my original wedding date was in 2020, so for obvious reasons it had to be postponed twice. I do not believe this is a good excuse for what we had to go through up to the wedding day.Moving the day was not so bad, but the venue was very disorganized. One of our first meetings with them fell through, after we had arrived at the venue, we were told by the person we were supposed to meet that she was not aware of it. We were given a timeline from them that we had filled out in full but was then asked more than once about details that we had given them already, and this was about multiple items over two years. We were grilled about having a two-hour cocktail hour, which started to make us doubt some of our decisions. The venue wrote to us that even after postponement they will keep their rental price at the original charge. We had to screenshot this email after they tried to rise the price of the venue on us even though postponing was no fault of our own, to which simply the reply was, “we will keep it at the original price.” No apology for trying to swindle us. Also, the venue was expensive enough before the price rise. We were also charged extra money because a new sound system was installed and our DJ was not allowed to bring his own equipment in, forcing us to pay the charge. This happened during postponement which was out of our control.This same pattern of disorganization lasted until about one month before the wedding. We had a phone call meeting and ironed out all our details about the wedding (once again), to which my wife and I’s organization skills were praised by the venue. On the day of, everything went perfectly, and the month up to the wedding was much nicer. But, to deal with the venue was a giant headache on top of the many other vendors we had to do business with. If you can handle the headache, you will not be disappointed with the building. If not, buyer beware. Get everything in writing and be firm with your decisions.

Such a beautiful venue! As a wedding photographer this building is beautiful to photograph. Lots of options with the courtyard, balcony, ballroom and White Room (my favourite). The staff were super friendly and helpful throughout the whole process. My couple, especially the bride were overly happy with this venue. Looking forward to coming back here again.

Nice old church building that has been kept clean and renovated up to date.We had a function at this location and it was great with ample parking space.If you don’t like traditional old fashion ways, this place is probably not for you.Overall, it is a great place.

I can’t even begin to gush about this place! It’s truly remarkable! We just got married there this past Saturday, and I can’t stress enough how we’re beaming about Waters Edge! Dana, Karen, and all of the staff were truly incredible and made our night the best day ever!! About 90% of our wedding guests had never been to Waters Edge and were blown away with it all! From the stained glass windows, to those beautiful columns and alter - this venue is pure beauty!I wish I could experience it all over again this weekend!Thank you guys for truly making Saturday THE BEST DAY EVER!Love,Natalie Despins

The waters edge was beautiful! Stunning location by the water, very professional, great service and very helpful staff. I loved having my wedding party there! Perfect event space.Highly recommended!

I got married here a few weeks ago in the White Room. I did all preparations remotely, as I was visiting from out of town. No one had seen the venue until the day of the wedding. A lot of things were done by my friends and family, from music to decor. And it was only possible because Dana and Karen were extremely helpful with my requests for sharing venue photos, videos, plans etc. I have made endless calls to them to organize things and they were very helpful. The venue was beautiful inside and outside. The day of the event passed pretty flawlessly. I did not hear any complaints from my friends or family when they were setting up for the wedding either. I am pretty happy with how everything turned out.
