Disappointed and quite surprised that this cafe decided to have customers add their own sweetener to their specialty drinks instead of including this as a service. It just seems off-brand for any premium third-wave cafe and especially for Boxcar. I like a little honey in my matcha to off-set the bitterness, and the taste is just not the same when you add it once the milk has been poured. An oat latte at this cafe is the most expensive latte of all of the places I frequent; I'm happy to pay for quality and hope that Boxcar will go back to their old standard of service.

We found occasionally this gem hidden in Riverside and we just loved it!The atmosphere of the place is calm and extremely friendly. The coffee is fantastic and we tried the Brie Sandwich which we highly recommend.We’ll definitely come back to spend some hours listening to good Fado (Portuguese music) and reading by their nice tables.

Lovely tucked away café off Queen St. with great décor and friendly service. Great outdoor seating to chill with a beverage of your choice in the summer. Above average pricing but you do get what you pay for.

I went there for a coffee with a friend and ordered a mocha. Unfortunately, that wasn't my lucky day. Unfortunately the chocolate sauce added to my coffee was mixed with dishes soap, so taste was horrible.The coffee was bad, but when I tried the sauce I understood that wasn't normal. My husband took that to the barista and asked for him to try and he acknowledged that something was wrong. I was refunded, but unfortunately I'll not going back.

As a man without a home after the temperance location closed, I'm grateful to be able to taste the familiar light roasts again. Highly recommend the Ethiopian.

I love this café so much and it’s definitely by far one of my favourite locations within all the Boxcar Socials! The atmosphere, vibe, aesthetic is just so cozy, homey and it’s definitely a beautiful community! I always found the service here to be so incredible, which is also one of the reasons I keep coming back! I love the drinks and the food here as well, a must try when coming here! This is my go-to study spot when I am in the area for errands/classes. I keep raving about this place to all my favourite family and friends, so if you are ever in need for some alone time and want coffee or drinks, this would be the place to check out!
