St. Andrew's Community Centre

This is a lovely facility, it has been renovated recently. It has a nice gym which can be divided into smaller sections, several program rooms including a nice dance studio with barre and mirrors which can also be divided into two rooms. They also have a small indoor playground for children 7 and under which is fantastic for rainy days or in the winter!The biggest setback of this facility is the location which can be hard to get to depending on which direction you are arriving from, it is in a small section of road which is only accessible from one direction and Google maps will ask you to make a U-turn on Bayer's Road which is not a safe choice.

Multipurpose room is a great place for community gatherings events like potluck, dinner, and cultural celebration.It's capacity is up to 60+

I think they did a great renovation and its much more modern but I am upset that everything has to be modern nowadays. I liked it better before, I practically grew up there and it was so nostalgic. Now they've turned it into something depressing. The old one looked a lot more welcoming, it was small and colorful, full of life. the new one looks intimidating, just glass and metal. 2 stars because they didn't do a horrible job.

The light is not good for Badminton

The two year old is in a play group here twice a week. This place really needs some work done. The paint on the walls is all chipping away, making it look bad. The stage should have stairs so it would be accessable from the gym, but it is too high to jump up onto from the floor. Just needs an update I think.

The new building is awesome and I would say one of the best REC Centres in town. Lots of programs and also space for rent.

Newly renovated and BEAUTIFUL inside and out! Several of the Halifax Rec programs are run out here and both the inside and outside are spacious, clean, intuitive, and inviting.

Great place for classes. Beautiful bright new(ish) space. Lots of different recreational activities going on. A little tricky to get to by car ( the driveway can only be accessed coming from one direction) but that's pretty minor.
