Staff are friendly,,there is a calm atmosphere, one challenge for patients seems to be consistency of instructions between differentstaff. One says you need assistance to walk, the other not .Cafeteria is still shut down after 2 1/2 years.I miss it.

They DON’T treat their patient or resident as human. All of them are mean. They won’t help. I rather die than live here, don’t send your family here please. I wish I could give them 0 star.

Warning ~ Doctors get paid by prescription. OSI prescribes the same way my old employers doctor did. The difference between my old employer, is the OSI gets rich on clients down fall. The more the OSI prescribes the more funds come in. I left the OSI and stopped the FIST full of medication. I have never been better in my treatment as I am today writing this. When I asked for help other than medications. The OSI decided I was too distort and could not make a decision on my own. In the end I made the best life changing decision one person could ever make by walking away from the OSI. Forgot to mention if the OSI doesn’t agree on your decision they will call the RCMP and Children Services. Dealing with the agency’s the OSI called on me was extremely hard considering the lies they said about me.. Still would not change my decision for a second. I’m not saying this will work for you but I will say from experience. The OSI Clinic does not and will never have your best interests in mind.

If I could give this place zero stars I would. They were administering drugs to our grandfather without our knowledge until he passed away this morning. If anyone else feels like their loved one passed away suspiciously or wrongly, we all need to talk! Something is very wrong with this place!

Not a nice place if you need consistency’s and help, they are of no help and more harm than good. The will just quit your treatment and recovery and send you packing with no support in a pandemic. Just kick you to the curb and not even care if you can get prescription that they start.

I hate having to give this facility a one star rating, because there were some very dedicated and competent people who assisted my Mom, but sadly, they were the exception, not the rule. In two months, my Mom was bathed twice. She was yelled at, forgotten and generally mistreated by nearly every other staff member. Overdosing her on Vitamin D put her in line to be prescribed a dangerous new class of drugs (OAB meds), but thankfully I discovered the racket before she started taking these drugs. For the record, excessive vitamin D causes frequent nighttime urination. Do not let anyone you love take OAB meds! After she left, she took part in the Day Hospital once a week. She was responsible for transportation fees, and now Deer Lodge has decided she hasn't fully paid. Discussion after discussion with their staff has indicated that she does not owe them money, but they have now sent the debt to collections.Addendum: I upped my review to two stars because my Mom ended up at Seven Oaks, and I can't justify giving Deer Lodge the same rating as Seven Oaks. Seven Oaks has lowered the bar so far, but zero stars isn't an option.

The OSI Clinics are run and controlled by VAC. VAC's interference with patient treatment has proven to be devastating in some instances. VAC approved treatments must meet VAC 's political agenda regardless of potential benefit to patients. Given that money is far more important than veterans (who apparently 'ask too much'), it is easy to understand VAC's implicit goal to reduce costs by pushing Veterans to suicide. No more cost.

I spent several weeks at Deer Lodge and subsequently several weeks at Seven Oaks Hospital. One was a nightmare and one was a professional rehab facility with a well trained staff. The food at Deer Lodge was not edible and the food at Seven Oaks very good- although both came from the same central facility.Other than Dr Jose and the odd nurse, it was evident the staff was not happy. Contrast that with Seven Oaks where it was evident staff worked as a team

My mum Has taken residency. We were pleasantly surprised to have met and conversed with the Care Coordinator and nurses for my mum. The staff are caring and don't seem to overwhelmed. I can't understand why. The meals purely represent the best definition of hospital food. But you try to feed hundreds with every food issue or health issue you could imagine. Hat's off to the Food Service Director. The parking is a joke. You can get a ticket visiting veterans that represent this country. Shame on the City of Winnipeg""
