Bought a gas insert from these fellows some 13 years ago and the unit has been a beauty. We scheduled their service tech Matt to come service it recently to improve the ignition delay and fan output. Matt arrived on time, clean, professional and prepared. He got after it and explained everything we needed to know and next steps. Love the service from this place - wouldn't hesitate recommending them for their sales and service. Our unit runs significantly better now and we are very happy.

We have a house built in 1917 and it has an existing brick fireplace that we wanted to keep and celebrate. Warren and the team at Hearth Fireplace Depot helped us choose the right gas insert option for a tricky install and then made a custom surround that perfectly married old and new while keeping most of the brick visible. I purchased a Supreme Fusion 18 wood burning insert from Warren at Hearth Fireplace Depot in August 2021 and I am really happy with it! I love a good project and I’m all about the details. I had a plan to hide the electric cord for the fans before the two installers even showed up. Both the installers that came out were friendly and knowledgeable. They confirmed my plan for the cord was safe and they fished the cord exactly how it wanted it. They worked hard to get the insert to fit into the original brick fireplace and were successful. The air intake vent on this unit is a smart design. It uses a bimetallic strip that closes the air intake as the fire heats up. Unfortunately, this strip got jammed and locked the air vent in the closed position making it impossible to light a fire. (Not enough air flow) I spoke with Warren, and he put an order in for a replacement part right away. The problem was obvious to me. The strip was 1mm too short, or the holes were drilled 1mm off depending how you look at it. I took the strip off and reamed the holes, put it back on and it has worked perfectly since! It has been 6 months and I’ve had over 50 fires in this insert (Yes, I keep track). It makes enough heat that my furnace won’t turn on as the heat just get circulated by running the furnace fan (Except below -25, then the furnace will help). Overall happy with the service and the product. We are planning on installing a natural gas insert in our basement in the future and we will be back.

I was looking for a wood stove, and happened to call up Hearth Fireplace Depot. They were phenomenal to work with. Cliff, the owner, answered the phone and gave me all the time in the world, answering questions, providing insight to his craft, and ultimately setting me up with the perfect fireplace, and all the piping etc I could need. My installer was here yesterday and found nothing lacking. Cliff also offered to buy back any extra parts we might not use in the installation. It was a wonderful experience working with Hearth Fireplace Depot, and I would highly recommend them for their customer service, knowledge, and years varying quality product they have available.

Matt was the 3rd tech I have had service my fireplace in the last 5 years. He is the ONLY one that took everything out of the box, adjusted the air intake, cleaned everything, including vacuuming the logs. Working and looking much better now. I highly recommend his service.

I had several Calgary fireplace companies give me quotes to update my gas fireplace & decided on Hearth Fireplace Depot. I was not disappointed. Warren, Cliff & all the workers were great! They gave me lots of great ideas, got the job done right away & checked in daily while the guys were working. I would highly recommend doing business with this company! I was very happy with everything when it was within a reasonable timeline and was going to give five stars, but the fact that I paid my final invoice, do not have a working fireplace, and have been dealing with abysmal customer service has changed that review.Detail:I engaged with them in Sept 2022 and bought the fireplace in early Oct 7. We had wanted a model which we were advised would not work with our set up and directed to one that would.While the contractors were all nice and easy to work with, the fireplace was not the right model for the set up and they had to come 3 separate times for the installation, inconveniencing us and our neighbor who had the gas lines in his garage. They turned off the gas for inspection which was not needed and had to come back to turn it on.When it still didn't work, they blamed the switch. At their advice, we replaced the switch but it still didn't work. Without returning, they have continued to blame the switch and electrical for being at fault. I can hear the fireplace turn on but it it the gas that is not flickering. I have called different people five times over two weeks only to be told they'll call me back, which they never have. I spoke with the owner who said I'm on a list and they'll get back with me but blamed the weather. This should have been completed a month ago as I didn't want to deal with the weather or the upcoming holidays (it is now Dec20!)!
