Aquitaine Animal Hospital - Mississauga
I am extremely satisfied with Aquitaine Animal Hospital. My dog Nacho a Yorkie who is 8 months old had a rare bacterial infection (Bacterial Meningitis in the brain) which is very rare. I went to see 4 veterinarians and the last one I saw was Dr. Amany Ghali. Glad I did!Dr. Amany Ghali from Aquitaine Animal Hospital was the only veterinarian that saw something actually wrong with Nacho. All other veterinarians that I have seen previously stated Nacho had a neck injury, neurological issue or a pinch nerve. They told me to have Nacho rest for 2 weeks and he would be fine. For 2 weeks Nacho was acting more and more strangely and was getting worse and worse each passing day. Nacho would look up into the sky with his neck positioned up, he wouldn't play, walk around and play fetch, he just suddenly changed and he was getting worse and worse each passing day.The day we brought him to Dr. Amany Ghali the 4th veterinarian by the way we are now seeing Dr. Ghali did a blood test on Nacho and from the blood test he stated something was very wrong with Nacho. Dr. Ghali stated It seems to be some infection of sorts from looking at the blood test results. Dr. Amany Ghali then proceeded to give him a shot of antibiotics in I.V form so it took affect right away. Now this is where the story gets interesting!Later that night Nacho started acting very weird. He would get up sit down get up sit down and was moaning so me and my wife panicked something obviously was strange and brought Nacho right away to Oakville Veterinary Emergency Hospital at 2:00 a.m in the morning. We waited about 5 hours or so and they said Nacho is in critical condition and needs to be sent to Ontario Veterinary College immediately. We went to pickup Nacho and had to drive 1 hour with Nacho basically dying in our hands so Ontario Veterinary College in Guelph can examine Nacho and see what was going on with him. That same day we got a call from Ontario Veterinary College and stated Nacho has a bacterial infection the bacteria was (Actinomyces) basically Meningitis in the brain. They told me that if it wasn't for Dr. Amany Ghali administering that antibiotic to Nacho he would not be alive right now. Basically the antibiotic Dr. Amany Ghali gave Nacho when we went to see him stopped the bacterial from spreading (Slowed it Down) and gave sometime for Nacho to stay alive and fight. If it wasn't for Dr. Amany Ghali diagnosing Nacho with his extensive experience seeing something wrong with Nacho he would not be alive right now. WE WENT TO 3 OTHER VETERINARIANS AND NO ONE SAW THIS ONLY DR. AMANY GHALI was able to diagnosis and see something was wrong with our little buddy Nacho. The moral of this story is you want to visit a veterinarian with experience. I find the newer veterinarians that are trained these days do not have the experience or capability like Dr. Amany Ghali. Going to 3 other veterinarians and telling me it was a neurological problem, pinch nerve in Nacho's neck or an injury proves you have to watch where you bring your dog these days.We are grateful me and my wife that we went to see Dr. Armany Ghali. If it wasn't for him our little buddy would not be alive today.Aquitaine Animal Hospital welcomed us in and saw us right away. As soon as you walk in Lucy the receptionist there was extremely friendly and brought us in right away to see Dr. Amany Ghali. Lucy was a sweetheart and those two little dogs that are there also greet you and are absolutely beautiful. I love that I seen two dogs that are their pets when we went there as it goes to show you how much they care about pets.I highly recommend Dr. Amany Ghali of Aquitaine Animal Hospital for if it wasn't for Dr. Amany Ghali my best friend Nacho would not be ALIVE TODAY.Attached is a picture of Nacho showing his stitches on the head (Brain) where he had the surgery. He is alive and well now and I am very grateful to all who helped including Dr. Amany Ghali in saving my little buddy Nacho.Thank you Dr. Amany Ghali. I highly recommend Aquitaine Animal Hospital. 5 Stars!!!

We’ve changed a few animal hospitals recently because of poor service, but were quite impressed by Aquitaine and hoping to stay with them. We had a few emergencies and an elbow surgery, and Dr. Aziz was able to take us in and took a great care of our dog. He was able to run some tests on the spot and gave us medication to start immediate treatment. When your pet is in pain, this is priceless. And I wish every animal hospital was operating this way.

Best Animal Hospital, caring and loving Dr. Alaa treats my pug as his own. Always providing tips and health pointers to keep Auggie happy and healthy.Auggie has the tendency for eating stuff he's not supposed to, causing all kinds of issues to his system.Unlike other clinics I've been to where they always request extra tests" and "blood work" when you have insurance

Dr. Aziz is an exceptional veterinarian. I usually take my cat to another clinic that is a little closer to me as my overlord tends to get car sick. However, the only hospital open at the time of the emergency, and close by, was Aquitaine Animal Hospital.I'm so glad I brought my cat here! The doc was efficient and thorough with the examination and asking me questions to diagnose my cat. He managed to treat an infection that had been lingering for a few days and had me frantic. The IV drip was a struggle to get in my high energy and very angry cat but the doctor was super patient.Summary: I will now be bringing my cat to Dr. Aziz for all future needs. Highly recommended clinic. His pets are adorable, especially the very cranky lady cat who had no patience for my male one.I'm happy to report that the IVs worked for my cat and he made a full recovery.

Dr. Aziz saved my best friend's life. My little girl Willow is a 6 year old lionhead bunny who wasn't doing well at ALL. I woke up one day and she was completely out of it (not eating, pooping, was laying limp, panting heavily) and without a way to get to his animal hospital until 9:30pm, i called and asked if he would take her that late, and he said yes.The clinic that day closed at 10 but he knew she wouldn't be able to be treated anywhere else (bunnies are considered 'exotic animals'), so he took her for an appointment that late. He took his time with her, handled her with care and was genuinely very sweet. He understood how much she means to me and gave her IV, explained everything in detail to me, and gave me the correct medication ($190 for meds was worth it to be honest). The checkup fee was only $90 which was a steal for an emergency service and he stayed and helped her until 10:35pm. As soon as she got home, she already had more life in her.He called me the evening after to ask how she was doing. He sounded like he genuinely cared and I really appreciate him taking the time to help me and my baby girl. Without him she most likely wouldn't have made it. Thank you so much, Dr. Aziz.(Also the beautiful mama tabby was a lovely surprise when I was feeling sad and overwhelmed. She was such a lovely little helper that helped ease the sadness <3)

Went here out of desperation on a Monday. I was grateful to him for seeing my dog. My dog was misdiagnosed- 3 days later is in surgery which could have been prevented. I was recommended to buy all these products- which turned out to be useless. I called him to transfer and talk to the surgeon at the hospital where I later took my dog- never did just forwarded all the xrays to me. All this for $1700.00

This is not my normal vet clinic, but I had an emergency in the evening with my cat, Oreo, so I rushed him here. The vet was with someone else at the time, and I'll admit, I was irritated waiting due to the condition of Oreo. However, once he took us in the examine room, he completely focused on my fur baby.He did a complete exam, took his time, and took care in handling him.Ultimately, it was determined there was a neurological issue with Oreo, and at his age (16) it was best to put him down.I was able to stay with him during the procedure, and was given warnings as to what may happen so I was not caught off guard which I was grateful for.He passed away peacefully December 20th.I am just waiting for his ashes to be returned now.I wanted to say thank you for taking care of Oreo and handling him respectfully. I appreciate it.And a huge thank you to the couple that were made to wait while Oreo was looked after. Your kindness during that time was very much appreciated.RIP Oreo
