I absolutely fell in love with this motel last September!! We had one of the rooms on the road side, so access was easy. Since my husband has mobility issues, it was perfect that you can park right by your room and they are on ground level (not sure if all are, but certainly most). The room itself was so cozy! Yes small, but well appointed and I found it easy to find room for items, suitcase, coats, shoes, etc. I loved going to the reception every morning to get some (complimentary) coffee (no weak stuff, choice of 3 caffeinated and 1 decaf roast, there was also tea and instant cocoa) and chat with the staff and other guests. Extra thumb up for owner Jimmy for great email contact after we made the reservation, and for the lovely note and chocolates when he learned we were celebrating our wedding anniversary and my birthday there!Of course the location was amazing too, right in town, minutes walking distance from shops and sights and for such an affordable price. We picked a room with a kitchenette, so that we could make the odd meal ourselves. I'm glad we took our car and stayed here (instead of taking our motorhome and camp), and I can't wait to go back!

Very nice experience staying here! Found the room to be very clean and I couldn’t spot anything dirty at all in the room, and I would know as I’ve worked in hotels for quite a while, the interior of the rooms looked very cute and had a nice atmosphere to it. The walls are also pretty thick. They have been adding air conditioning units into the rooms and it helps a lot with the heat of Waterton. The beds were pretty comfortable as well. The whole motel is kinda like a small community and as you stay here, you get to know a lot of the other people staying here as well as the staff working here who are all super friendly and super helpful.My only issue that I had here was that the wifi was basically unusable as it would randomly disconnect me multiple times and sometimes just wouldn’t connect, and whenever it does connect, it was very slow. I ended up using my phone data the whole time I stayed here.But apart from that one small issue, I would definitely stay here again especially considering the price and quality of my stay here.

Nice and clean motel close to everything. The manager was very friendly and we had a pleasent stay. The only issue we had is the shower was very small.

Our room had a view of the mountains, and the room was quaint. We were able to cook a small meal in the kitchenette that was provided, which was fully supplied with everything we needed to cook. The bed was so comfortable, we slept like babies. Recommend this place to all.

Very retro motel, we loved it. Great service and great walking distance from everything in Waterton village.

This is my second time staying here and it’s lovely. My first time, the room had a kitchenette and I was here for a couple of nights. It was lovely then and lovely now.Clean and comfy beds, super friendly and helpful staff, and it might be a bit further away from the lake, but also the crowds.The reason it isn’t 5 star, the bathrooms are TINY and the toilet is a tad awkward to use. Also, the screen doors are a lovely feature, but they slam even when you try to be quiet with them.

Our stay was excellent! My fiancé and I and I just got Engaged the day before staying the night. The room was very clean and comfy for our stay. The owner and the employees were accommodating and genuine. They even left this note for us in our room! Our two dogs were able to stay with us too! All in all a 10/10 stay that I’d recommend to anyone.

I have visited Waterton many a time in the recent years and I have stayed at various places. Bear Mountain Motel is THE absolute nicest place to stay and I will not be looking anywhere else IF I can get a spot here in the future. The motel is quaint, cute, and super clean. Its location is simply perfect. It offers everything one needs for a comfortable stay - unlimited complimentary coffee and tea in the morning, mini fridge, microwave, BBQ. But what makes your stay the loveliest are the absolutely amazing staff who go an extra mile for you - every single staff member I have encountered has been supremely helpful, genuine and awesome. I will be back. Many times over!

We enjoyed our two-night stay. Room was as we expected and as advertised. Older decor and not very large however well equipped and what we expected. We didn't encounter any particular amount of noise during our stay but the motel wasn't very full. Great location for visiting Waterton Lakes NP. We would likely stay again if ever visiting Waterton in the future.
